Kent State University was founded as a teacher training school in 1910. It is one of the prominent public research universities in Ohio, United States and among the 91 public doctoral universities listed by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. It is also one of the highest-ranked public universities in Northern Ohio and recognised as a top public school. The U.S. News & World Report ranked KSU among the best national universities. It is also ranked 25th among the safest campuses in the USA, according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Kent State University is a large university comprising eight campuses across Northeast Ohio extending across an area of 953 acres. The university campus includes Kent State at Ashtabula, Kent state at Liverpool, Geauga Campus in Burton, Kent Campus in Northeast Ohio, Kent State University at Salem, Kent State University at Stark, Kent State University at Trumbull and Kent State at Tuscarawas. Academic courses offered at Kent State University are designed to enrich every aspect of a student’s life like academic skills, personality, soft skills thereby helping them grow as a versatile individual. The campus environment at Kent State is bright and vibrant where students get an opportunity to collaborate with a group of intelligent people. Kent State has over 350 student clubs and organisations, 23 residence halls to provide accommodation facilities to local and international students, 18 dining locations and other facilities such as fitness and wellness centres, sports centre, adventure centre, art and culture associations etc.
