About LPU
Lovely Professional University or LPU is a private institution situated in Chaheru, Phagwara, Punjab, India. Established in 2005 under the Lovely Professional University Act, 2005 (Punjab Act 25 of 2005), it began operations in 2006. LPU holds multiple approvals and recognitions from bodies such as the University Grants Commission (UGC), Council of Architecture, Association Of Indian Universities (AIU), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Council Of Architecture(COA), Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR), The Institution Of Engineers (India), Institute Of Town Planners, India (ITPI), and Bar Council of India (BCI). In its first NAAC accreditation cycle, LPU achieved an “A++” grade.
The university offers programmes across diverse fields, including business, fashion design, engineering, law, education, agriculture, humanities, and tourism. Admission to the majority of the courses is based on the LPUNEST. This national entrance and scholarship exam evaluates the academic performace to check the eligibility for admission to various UG & PG programmes. This offers scholarships of up to Rs. 9.52 lakhs. LPUNEST has helped more than 1 lakh students in 2023 for admission to over 150 programmes. With 300+ test centers across India and 8000+ scholarships awarded to the aspirants based on LPUNEST performance.
Apart from this, exams like GATE, NATA, CUET, CAT, XAT, NEET, etc. are also accepted. LPU has recently Launched B.Tech CSE work-integrated programmes in collaboration with Futurense, Kalvium, and Quantiphi. LPU hosts over 30,000 students and employs 4,000 faculty members across its 600-acre campus. The campus features extensive amenities such as hostels, transportation services, a university hospital, shopping and dining facilities, banking services, and well-stocked libraries. In the 2024 NIRF rankings, LPU is positioned 45th overall, 27th among universities, 44th in research, and 50th in engineering. LPU Latest Updates
The CUET PG 2025 registration deadline has been extended to February 8, 2025, with the last date to pay the fee set for February 9, 2025. Applicants can edit their forms from February 10-12, 2025. The exam will be held from March 13-31, 2025. Registration can be completed online at cuetpg.ntaonline.in.
The CUET UG 2025 application form would be accessible at official NTA website exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. Students who are admitted to university UG Courses through CUET should once refer to the eligibility criteria and required documents before applying. The CUET 2025 will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) in May-June 2025.
The CUET UG 2025 notification is expected to be released in the first or second week of February 2025 at exams.nta.ac.in. The exam will be held in May/June 2025 in CBT mode. It consists of three sections: Language, Domain Subjects, and General Test. Registration will start in February 2025, and results are expected to be out by July 2025. Lovely Professional University (LPU) invites applications for Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) under distance learning for the 2025 academic year. The student who has passed 10+2 from any stream is eligible to apply. The program fees are INR 12,000 per semester with a lump sum option at INR 23,000. The application fee is INR 600.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to soon declare the exam dates for the CUET UG 2025, which will take place in May 2025. This exam will be conducted in CBT mode and will have three sections: Language, Domain Subjects, and General Test. The exam syllabus encompasses 13 languages and 23 domain subjects. The maximum marks are 250.
The NTA has brought in significant changes for CUET PG 2025. The application fee has been hiked by ₹200 for General/OBC/EWS categories, with ₹700 being charged for additional test papers. The exam duration has been reduced to 90 minutes. The number of domestic cities has increased to 285 and international cities to 27. Registration is live at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG.
CUET PG exam dates and schedule have been declared by NTA. Applications can be submitted from January 2, 2025, and till February 1, 2025, which are available at the webpage, cuetpg.ntaonline.in. computer-based test (CBT) will be held from March 13, 2025 to March 31, 2025 for seeking admission to postgraduate programmes on various subjects in 157 streams for the academic session 2025-2026.

LPU Courses and Admission 2025
LPU offers a total of 46 courses across diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels, spanning over 55 diverse streams. These include engineering, management, science, computer applications, design, pharmacy, architecture, and tourism, among others. Popular LPU courses encompass B.Tech, B.Pharm, BSc, B.Des, M.Arch, LLM, MCA, M.Pharm, and MBA. A new program, BTech. (Electrical and Computer Engineering), has also been introduced by the university. All programmes are conducted in regular mode, with annual LPU fees ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 7,90,000 depending on the course. LPU has also started some new courses like BSc (Hons.) Forensic Sciences, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, MCA (Hons.) (Cyber Security), etc.

LPU offers various academic programmes at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Admission to these programs is facilitated through various entrance tests conducted by the university, namely LPUNEST, LPUPET, and LPUTABS. As per the LPU admission process, LPUNEST serves as a mandatory test for admission into B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, Law, design (UG and PG), integrated BBA MBA, B.Pharm, B.Sc agriculture, B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc (Hons), BCA, and MCA courses. For other programmes, LPUNEST functions as a scholarship test. For admission to BTech courses, candidates need to qualify for JEE Main/LPUNEST/CUET. Lovely Professional University provides scholarships to eligible candidates across various categories. The main criterion for awarding these scholarships is the LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test).
