NIT Silchar Latest Updates
IIT Roorkee has come out with GATE 2025 answer keys on gate2025.iitr.ac.in for February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 tests. Objections can be lodged by March 1, 2025, at a charge of INR 500 per question. Announcements of the results will be made on March 19, 2025, and the scorecards would be downloadable without cost from March 28, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
IIT Roorkee will upload the GATE 2025 response sheet today on gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The candidates who wrote the exam on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16 can download the response sheet by choosing their subject paper. The final answer key and results will be released on March 19, 2025, upon considering objections.
IIT JAM 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2025 (tentatively) by IIT Madras. The results will be available on the JOAPS portal. The anticipated cut-off marks are subject to category and subject, such as Biotechnology (GEN - 42), Chemistry (GEN - 27), Mathematics (GEN - 13), and Physics (GEN - 20) among others. It will be on merit basis, and clearing the cut-off makes one more probable for getting a seat in IITs, NITs, and other colleges.
The NTA has announced the JEE Main 2025 Paper 2 BArch and BPlan results on jeemain.nta.nic.in. The scorecards can be downloaded by applicants using their password and application number. 44,144 candidates took the test for BArch and 18,596 took the test for BPlan. Two applicants obtained a 100 percentile, one in each.
IIT Roorkee will publish the GATE 2025 provisional answer key on or before February 26, 2025, at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The PDF can be downloaded and objections raised against discrepancies by paying INR 500 per question. The final answer key will be published after considering objections. GATE 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2025.
Registration for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 closes on February 25, 2025 (9 PM) with the last date of fee payment as 11:50 PM. The exam provides an opportunity for admission to NITs, IIITs, SPAs, GFTIs, and IIEST Shibpur. JoSAA and CSAB counselling provide transparent seat allocation and special arrangements for students from the Northeast.
JoSAA counselling of JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2025 will start on June 3. The applicants who are looking to get admission into IITs, NITs, IIITs, IIEST, and GFTIs need to register on josaa.nic.in. There are five rounds of seat allotment, fee submission, and document verification involved in the process. The approximate timeline is from June to July, and vacant seats will be managed by CSAB.
IIT Roorkee shall publish the provisional answer key to GATE 2025 in due course at its official webpage. It could be downloaded using the enrollment ID and password in the GOAPS portal. A fee of INR 500 per question should be paid against objections. Release of the final answer key following evaluation shall settle the GATE 2025 results.
The answer key for the JEE Main 2025 Paper 2 for BArch and BPlan exams has been made available by NTA. The challenge facility is available until 9 PM today and will cost INR 200 per question.

NIT Silchar Application Process 2025
NIT Silchar application process generally starts in July with the release of the application form for the MBA programme. The selection criteria for different courses are different in the institute. The application process for the NIT Silchar is completely online. To complete the NIT application form, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit the official admission portal of the NIT Silchar.
- Select the programme and fill out the registration form with the required information, including educational details, personal details, and address.
- Upload the scanned signatures and colour photographs along with the NIT application form. To avoid any difficulty in the admission process, the university advises candidates to keep all the required documents handy, such as birth certificate, category certificate, last qualifying degree certificate, etc.
- Finally, submit the application form and pay the NIT application fees via any online payment method such as net banking, credit and debit cards, BHIM UPI, Paytm, etc. Candidates must keep the fee receipt as proof for further reference. If the confirmation page is not generated after completing the fee payment, the transaction is cancelled, and the deducted amount is refunded to the candidate's account. Then candidates have to make transactions again.
- Eligible candidates will be invited for the entrance exam (except for MBA). MBA aspirants have to enter their CAT score in the NIT application form 2023, and upon shortlisting, they will be directly called for group discussion and personal interviews. Admission is granted based on the candidate's performance in all of the selection rounds.
- JEE Mains is a computer-based test, which is mandatory to qualify to be eligible for admission. Upon qualifying for the examination, candidates are invited for viva voce by the NIT admission committee (the admission committee is different for different courses). The selection of candidates for NIT admission is based on their overall performance in the last qualifying examination, JEE marks, and Viva-voce marks.
- PhD aspirants are eligible only if they have qualified for national-level entrance examinations such as UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF), SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship.
