CUSAT CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Cochin University has set the minimum eligibility criteria for CUSAT CAT 2025 that candidates must fulfil to become eligible to apply for the examination. They must fulfil all the prerequisites listed as CUSAT CAT eligibility criteria 2025 and check the same carefully before filling out the CUSAT CAT application form. The eligibility norms give a fair idea to the applicants of whether or not they are eligible to apply for CUSAT CAT.

The eligibility criteria describe requirements like age limit, nationality, educational qualification, professional qualification, reservation and relaxation of criteria, etc., for the interested candidates who wish to apply and appear for the CUSAT CAT 2025 exam.

Candidates must make a note that the eligibility criteria of CUSAT CAT is different for different B.Tech programmes. It will be mandatory for the applicants to satisfy the eligibility criteria, or else the applicants will not be granted admission. Below mentioned details are for only B.Tech programmes. CUSAT CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria for 5-Year Integrated Law Programmes

The offered 5-year law courses via CUSAT CAT 2025 include - BBA LLB (H) and B.Com LLB (Hons), Five Year B.Sc LLB (Hons) [Computer Science]. Here are some crucial points related to the CUSAT CAT 2025 eligibility criteria for 5-year integrated law programmes - 

BBA LLB (H) and B.Com LLB (Hons)-

  • The applicants must have completed their 12th standard examinations with 60% for the science group.
  • Those who are from the commerce/ humanities/ arts stream must have at least 55% of marks for the 10+2 examination.
  • They must have finished their 10 plus two examinations from a recognised Board of Education.
  • Those from the SC/ ST or SEBC communities must have a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2.

B.Sc LLB (Hons) [Computer Science] -

  • The student must have accomplished 10+2 with 50% marks.
  • He must have had Mathematics/ Computer Science as one of the subjects in 10+2.
  • Please note that applicants from the General Category must have obtained 65% marks in 12th standard.
  • For those from the SC/ST /SEBC communities, the relaxation will be determined by the university.

CUSAT CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria for 3-Year LLB

The minimum requirements for the 3-year LLB include -

  • The individual must have passed the graduation with 50% marks in the aggregate in any stream from a university recognised by the Cochin University of Science and Technology.
  • Those from the SC / ST / SEBC categories have to achieve at least 45% in their last qualifying degree examination.
  • Students who are yet to receive their results may also apply. However, they have to produce their mark lists at the time of counselling, or else their candidature will be cancelled.

Here is the CUSAT CAT 2025 eligibility criteria for B.Voc in Business Process and Data Analytics- 

  • Students must pass the 10+2/ Higher Secondary Examination organised by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Government of Kerala or an equivalent examination with Mathematics / Economics/ Statistics as one of the Subjects.
  • They must have secured a minimum of 50% in the examination.

CUSAT CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

Find out the significant points related to the CUSAT CAT 2025 eligibility criteria related to B.Tech -

Educational Qualification for all B.Tech Programme and B. Tech Polymer Science & Engineering (except B.Tech Marine Engineering Programme, B.Tech. in Naval Architecture & Ship Building and B.Tech. in Instrumentation Technology):

  • The applicant should have cleared 10+2 of the State of Kerala or any other equivalent examination with 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects when taken together.

  • Also, the applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in Mathematics separately in the qualifying examination.

  • SEBC applicants of Kerala State belonging to the non-creamy layer category must have obtained 45% (5% relaxation) in the qualifying examination.

  • Applicants belonging to Kerala Scheduled Cast (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) communities are eligible to apply if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination. 

Educational Qualification to Apply for B.Tech Marine Engineering Programme through CUSAT CAT 2025

  • Applicants must have completed their class 12 at least 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in qualifying examination or equivalent from the state of Kerala or any other accepted examination by the University.

  • Also, the applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in Mathematics separately in the qualifying examination.

  • Applicants applying for this programme must have secured 50% marks in English in either Class 10 or 12. This is even applicable to applicants belonging to the reserved (SC/ST) category.

  • Diploma or Vocational applicants are not eligible to appear for CUSAT CAT 2025 examination.

  • Applicants also must have produced the physical and eye fitness certificate from a medical officer approved by the DG Shipping at the time of admission.

Educational Qualification to Apply for B.Tech. in Naval Architecture & Ship Building through CUSAT CAT 2025

  • The applicant must have cleared 10+2 of the State of Kerala or the examination of any other University/ Board accepted by the University as equivalent with 60% marks in PCM ( Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) subjects when taken together.

  • Applicants must have taken the PCM group as compulsory subjects along with other subjects in the qualifying examination.

  • Applicants must have secured at least 50% marks individually in Mathematics.

  • SEBC applicants of Kerala State belonging to the non-creamy layer category must have obtained 55% (5% relaxation) in the qualifying examination.

  • Applicants belonging to Kerala Scheduled Cast (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) communities are eligible for applying if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination.

  • Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks individually in Mathematics.

  • SEBC applicants of Kerala State belonging to the non-creamy layer category must have obtained 55% (5% relaxation) in the qualifying examination.

  • Applicants belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) communities are eligible for applying if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination.

Nationality Eligibility to Apply for CUSAT CAT 2025

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen applying for B.Tech programmes.

  • Also, applicants from Kerala, applying within the state quota must submit domicile documents to confirm the same. 

  • For the rest of the programmes, foreign candidates can also apply. They will need to share NRI documents to apply for the same.
