Before applying for the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET 2022), applicants must check all the eligibility criteria laid down by the University of Delhi. The applicants will find details such as minimum qualifications required, minimum marks needed to be eligible to apply for DU UG entrance exams in the registration and eligibility section. There is no minimum age bar for the students who want to apply for the Undergraduate courses offered at the University of Delhi. Candidates cannot apply for admission based on the projected scores issued by any School/Board.

What is the Eligibility Criteria to Apply for DUET 2022?

The eligibility criteria for Delhi University Undergraduate Entrance Test 2022 or DUET 2022 is that the applicants must have completed their Class XII from a recognised Board. Only those students who have passed in all the individual subjects will be eligible to apply for the 2022 DU UG entrance examination. Students with “Compartment” results will not be eligible to apply for the examination.

Students who have completed their Class XII from outside India are also eligible to apply for DU entrance exam for UG courses only if their education grade is equivalent to the 10+2 system approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

What is the Detailed Eligibility Criteria to Apply for DUET 2022?

The detailed eligibility criteria to apply for DUET 2022 is as follows:

  • Must be an Indian Citizen

  • Must have passed Class XII from a recognised Indian Board

  • The applicants should have individually “Passed” in each subject (including practicals)

  • Applicants with gap year(s) in between are also eligible to apply for DU UG entrance exam 2022

60% aggregate or above in the qualifying examination (in best of 4 subjects and Mathematics as a compulsory subject)

B.A (Hons) Social Sciences & Humanities

60% aggregate or above in the qualifying examination

B.EL.Ed

  • 50% aggregate or above in the qualifying examination

  • Should have at least scored pass marks in best of 4 subjects

  • Should have at least studied Hindi/English (Core/Elective) to be included in Best of 4 subjects

  • Must have studied and passed Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Hindi/English at Class X level

B.Sc(Physical Education, Health Education & Sports)

45% aggregate or above in the qualifying examination(must include 3 best subjects and a language)

B.A (Hons) Multimedia & Mass Communication

  • 75% aggregate or above in the qualifying examination (Best of 4 subjects)

  • Must have at least scored 85% or above in English in the qualifying exam

  • Mass Media Studies may/may not be included among best of 4 academic subjects

5-Year Integrated Course in Journalism

50% aggregate or above in the qualifying exam

B.A (Hons) Hindustani/Karnatak Music

  • 45% aggregate or above in the qualifying examination (one language, two elective subjects and music must be included in the best of 4 subjects)

  • Candidates not offering Music as one of the subjects must have learnt music from a recognised Institution (for at least 3 years) OR

  • Should have learnt music from a well-known guru/teacher for at least 3 years and must produce a certificate of the same

What happens if my DUET 2021 documents cannot be verified online?

In case the college is not able to verify all the documents online, then the applicants will be granted provisional admission and thereafter the students have to submit the mandatory original documents for verification.

How do I get the refund of my cancelled admission fee?

After the candidates cancel their previous admission, the refunded admission amount will reflect in their Dashboard's "Wallet" section. Except for the cancellation fee of INR 1000/-, the remaining amount will be refunded to the student's wallet in the dashboard.

Can I apply for a different course and college after the confirmation of admission?

Yes. If the candidates find their name in the subsequent lists, they will have to first visit the department/college to ensure their eligibility. Once certain, the candidates have to cancel their previous admission via the online portal and fill the new application form.

What is the relaxation policy of Delhi University?

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and EWS categories will be offered a minimum of 5% relaxation in the respective eligibility.

Will my registration fee be refunded in case I opt out of studying in Delhi University?

The registration fee, under any circumstances, will not be refunded.

Can I only apply for Merit-Based UG admission at the University of Delhi?

Yes, you can apply particularly for Merit-Based UG admission at the University of Delhi. However, it is highly recommended that you should apply for both Merit-Based and Entrance-Based UG admission at the University of Delhi.
