The APAAR ID or Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry is a unique 12-digit number generated for a student's lifetime academic passport. Therefore, to enhance transparency and security of the NEET UG 2025 Exam, the NTA has implemented a thorough process of student verification based on their APAAR ID and Aadhar authentication. Students are required to update their Aadhar details as per their Class 10th passing certificate and date of birth, and register their facial recognition data at any Aadhar Enrollment Centre. • With the help of the Aadhar authentication, the process of student verification during the NEET Registration is set to be simplified with auto-generated student details. It is targeted to reduce manual error during the NEET application form fill-up. 
• By introducing digital Aadhar authentication, the NTA is set to implement a facial recognition process to verify and record student attendance faster. This is to ensure a smooth process of candidate verification without any chances of manual error. 
• With the introduction of APAAR ID and Aadhar-based authentication, the NTA will ensure accuracy in the total number of students appearing for the NEET entrance exam.
• The NTA believes in safeguarding the personal interests of the appearing students and therefore, has introduced the Aadhar-based authentication to secure the process of student verification throughout the exam procedures. 

According to the reports, there have been many speculations about the changes introduced in the upcoming NEET 2025 Exam. 3. Tweaked Eligibility Criteria: The National Medical Commission has updated NEET UG 2025 eligibility criteria now allowing students with Biology or Biotechnology as additional subjects in Class 12 to appear in the NEET entrance exam. 
4. Removal of Optional Questions in NEET: Rumours are that the optional questions in the NEET UG 2025 Exam are being considered to be removed from the exam pattern, to ensure transparency and fairness in the entrance exam for all. However, this remains a speculation as no official statements have been published regarding the same by the NTA till date.

There are often cases where two students get the same marks in the NEET exam. In such situations, the NTA has NEET tie-breaking criteria that helps moderators conclude. Below are the NEET tie-breaking criteria in order of priority if two people get the same marks in NEET 2025.

• Tie-Breaking Criteria 1: To break the initial tie, a candidate who scored higher marks in biology will be given the first preference or a higher rank. 
• Tie-Breaking Criteria 2: If the NEET exam 2025 tie still exists, then the aspirant who has scored high marks in chemistry will be provided with a higher rank.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria 3: If the tie still does not break, then as per the third criterion for breaking the tie, candidates scoring more marks in the physics subject will be given a higher rank. 
• Tie-Breaking Criteria 4: A candidate who has fewer incorrect responses in comparison to correct responses in Biology will be preferred over the other.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria 5: A candidate who has fewer incorrect responses in comparison to correct responses in Chemistry will be preferred over the other.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria 6: A candidate who has fewer incorrect responses in comparison to correct responses in Physics will be preferred over the other.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria 7: Lastly, if the tie persists after applying all the above-mentioned methods, then the candidate older in age will be directly allocated a higher rank.
