    FAQs about TISSNET Eligibility

Is the TISSNET 2023 application form fee the same for all categories?

No, the TISSNET 2023 application form fee is not the same for all categories. The fee varies category-wise. The application form fee for one course is INR 260 for applicants belonging to the reserved category and INR 1,030 for students belonging to the open category. Further, applicants must keep in mind that they may choose a maximum of three programmes only. At the later stage of admission, no changes to the desired course will be permitted.

When will the TISSNET 2023 exam be conducted?

The TISSNET 2023 exam will be conducted on 25 February 2023 from 2 PM to 3.40 PM. Conducted by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), TISSNET is a computer-based national entrance examination for admission to all of its master's degree (MA) programmes at its Mumbai campus as well as its other three campuses in Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Tuljapur. It consists of objective multiple-choice questions, so someone with a basic understanding of computers can easily take the TISSNET 2023 exam.

Can I apply for the exam if I do not meet the TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria?

No, candidates cannot apply for the exam if they do not meet the TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria. It is recommended that only those candidates who adhere to and meet the eligibility requirements specified by the institution must apply for the exam. As per the conducting authority, no objections will be taken into consideration about the rejection of applicants deemed to be ineligible at any point during the admissions process.

How can I check the TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria?

Candidates can check the TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria by visiting the official website of the conducting body. Once the applicant has accessed the official TISS website, they need to click on eligibility provided on the sidebar given on the left. After this, applicants can check the programme-specific eligibility criteria for up to 38 different programmes offered by the university along with their duration of completion.

Is the eligibility criteria for TISSNET 2023 and TISSMAT 2023 the same?

Yes, the eligibility criteria for TISSNET 2023 and TISSMAT 2023 are the same. This is because both are entrance tests and applicants must take both the TISSNET and TISSMAT to be considered for the MA (HRM & LR) and/or MA (ODCL) programmes. After the TISSNET exam, the TISSMAT exam is performed. Only applicants who have taken the TISSNET 2023 exam are qualified to take the TISSMAT 2023.

    Is TISSNET conducted every year?

Yes, the TISSNET is conducted every year or it can also be said that it is conducted once a year. As per the official sources, the TISSNET 2023 will take place on 25 February 2023. After taking the CAT 2022 and XAT 2023 exams, the TISSNET 2023 exam in February provides an excellent chance to secure admission to the highly coveted M.A. programmes offered by TISS at its Mumbai campus and other campuses like Tuljapur, Hyderabad, and Guwahati with effortless preparation.

    Does TISS accept CAT scores?

No, TISS does not accept CAT scores. This is because the university conducts its separate entrance exam for admission to MA programmes in the School of Management and Labour Studies. The CAT exam, on the other hand, is the mandatory entrance exam for MBA admission to IIMs. If a student has given the CAT exam, they have to take TISSNET 2023 separately for admission to the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Are there any separate TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria for reserved category candidates?
