UGC NET 2024 Exam Pattern

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET exam pattern 2024 with the official notification. The UGC NET December 2024 exam will be conducted in the third week of December 2024. The UGC NET 2024 exam consists of two papers—Paper 1 and Paper 2. These papers are conducted simultaneously, without any breaks. Both papers comprise objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

The UGC NET December 2024 exam will be conducted in online mode for 3 hours. The medium of the UGC NET question paper was English and Hindi only. Paper 1 of UGC NET December 2024 had 50 questions focusing on the candidate's teaching skills, problem-solving abilities, and data analysis. UGC NET Exam Pattern for Paper 2

UGC NET Paper 2 exam will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. All the questions of Paper 2 will be compulsory.

Candidates need to choose the subject of the UGC NET Paper 2 from the given options of 82 subjects while filling out the application form. Candidates need to appear in the subject of their Post-Graduation only. Candidates, whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of NET subjects, can appear in a related subject.
