Entrance Exam Applicability

WBJEE or JEE Main (candidates with a valid rank/score in JEE Main are exempted from WBJEE)

B.Tech Courses (including Jute & Fibre Technology)

• Applicants must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent Examination from a recognized Council/ Board in regular class mode with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with at  least 60% (55% for Reserve Category students i.e. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC- B, PwD) marks

• Applicants must have achieved passing marks in English with a minimum of 30% in the said qualifying examination.

Engineering/Technology and Pharmacy courses

• Applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in the science stream in the regular class mode of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board 

• Individual pass marks (both in theory & practical/project wherever applicable) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 

• Minimum of 60% marks in the above subjects taken together (45% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD applicants) having 60% marks in Mathematics (45% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD applicants).

• Applicants must have achieved passing marks in English with a minimum of 30% in the said qualifying examination.

Architecture courses

• Applicants must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in the science stream in the regular class mode of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary

• Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board.

• Minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate of the (10+2) Examination (37% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC- B, PwD applicants).

• Applicants must qualify for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi with a valid result.

• OR passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 45% (40% for SC, ST, SEBC, and EWS applicants) marks in aggregate. 

• Qualified for an aptitude test in architecture conducted either by NTA (i.e. JEE) or “NATA” conducted by the Council of Architecture for the corresponding academic year
