Predict NowThe IIAD exam syllabus is the syllabus acquired by referring to the past year's question papers. So, there is no official syllabus for this exam released by the Indian Institute of Art and Design. The syllabus for the IIAD 2024 includes topics and sections comprising problem-solving, creative thinking and logical reasoning to evaluate the student’s design and analytical skills.
Being aware of the complete syllabus will be helpful for students who are going to appear for the April phase of this entrance exam. The final question paper will include questions from the topics relevant through the continuous years. Students are also advised to refer to the IIAD 2024 exam pattern to understand the marking scheme, question format, types of questions and other things. As the exam is almost near, candidates must start to gear up by now. The candidates appearing for Fashion Business Management or postgraduation programmes in design need to undergo a personal interview round after the completion of the IIAD entrance exam. An e-mail invite is sent to the applicant with time and date mentioned for the personal interview round. The IIAD exam pattern is different for the iDAT and iMAT. The iDAT has two sections logical reasoning and creative thinking & visual aptitude. This exam is for all the UG courses offered at IIAD. Check out the exam pattern below:

This entrance is conducted in both online and offline modes in divided into written entrance exams and studio simulation rounds. It is to analyse the candidate’s logical reasoning & creativity skills and awareness of culture.
The iMAT exam is for the ones applying to the Fashion Management courses. It includes two rounds of selection - a written entrance exam and a personal interview round. The written entrance exam is conducted for 2 hours to judge the student’s ability to creative thinking and reasoning.
The selection process of IIAD is divided into two parts. For the UG course, the selection is based on the iDAT exam and Studio Simulation round while for the Fashion Business Management course, the selection includes the iMAT and interview rounds. Check the entire selection parameters below:
