AJIPT Delhi Internship (6 months)
During the Internship period, the candidate will have to undergo a full-time (950 hours) supervised Physiotherapy clinical practice of six months in Institutions/Hospitals/ Centres recognized by the Institution. The candidate, during this period, will be evaluated on the basis of his/her clinical performance. The marks secured during the internship will be added to that scored in annual examinations for the final calculation of marks. Our students are currently undergoing internships at the following hospitals/Institutes:
St. Stephens Hospital, Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan, G B Pant Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Metro Hospital, Lok Nayak Jaiprakash (LNJP) Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, Pushpanjali Crosslay, Max Hospital, IHBAS, etc.
Courses & Admission 2024 at Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy
The Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy admissions is both based on the previous academic merit of the candidate along with the valid scores obtained in certain entrance examinations. The college accepts the scores of CUET for admission in UG courses and DUET for PG courses. The Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy cut off 2023 will be released once the results of the exam are out. Candidates can also check the previous year's cut off, i.e, the AJIPT Delhi cut off 2021 to gather some ideas about the changing cutoff trends.
The Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy admission 2023 for undergraduate programmes will be based on the CUET exam results. For seat allocation, candidates must use the CSAS 2023 application form on the official website (admission.uod.ac.in). A CUET UG 2023 application number and the application fee must be included with the submission of the form.
The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS 2023) will be used for seat allocation and admission at all colleges associated with Delhi University. Here, a seat is made available to a candidate. The candidate won't be eligible to participate in the following CSAS 2023 rounds if he rejects the seat. This will imply that he has turned down the provisionally assigned seat. For the CUET UG 2023 admission process, there will be at least four rounds of seat distribution, with the possibility of additional rounds.
There are three phases to the CSAS 2023:
- The DU application.
- Completing the program's necessary forms and information.
- Admission to the college and the assignment of seats.
AJIPT Admission General Rules & Regulations
The selection of the candidates for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course will be made on the basis of merit in an Entrance Examination followed by counselling. The Examination will be computer-based for two hours duration and shall consist of 100 objective-type questions that are based on the Senior School Certificate (10+2) curriculum of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and will also include questions in General Knowledge. Every correct answer will get one (1) mark.
All Candidates belonging to the General and Reserved Categories will have to appear for the Entrance Examination.
NRI- Sponsored Category
NRI Sponsored Candidates do not have to appear for the entrance examination. Selection will be made on the basis of academic merit (in qualifying examination i.e. 10+2) as well as an interview.
A candidate applying in this category must be sponsored by an NRI and the fees are paid in US dollars. A sponsorship certificate from the sponsoring NRI is required to apply in this category.
Note: All the candidate's Gen/ SC/ST/ OBC- NC/ OH/ NRI Sponsored should be medically fit for undertaking this course. If deemed necessary, they will be required to undergo a fitness evaluation by a committee constituted by the Institute.

“Dr. Piyush Trivedi Scholarship”
This scholarship is made possible by Mr. S. N. Punj, Punj Lloyd group in fond memory of the young dynamic physiotherapist who lost his life in a road accident. The scholarship of rupees 12000/- is awarded to one meritorious student from the final year on annual basis. The selection is on the basis of attendance, marks, discipline, and extra-curricular activities from 1st to 3rd year. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for a written test and interview.
“The Dan Sterner Award for All Round Excellence”
The “The Dan Sterner Award for All Round Excellence”- The AJIPTIAN of the year award, has been instituted from the year 2016-17. This award is sponsored by Mrs. Sandy Sterner in memory of her son, Dan Sterner. Mrs. Sterner is a poet, an educationist in the liberal arts, and an environmentalist. She has been a silent supporter of Amar Jyoti since her visit to the Institution in 2011. Needless to say, the holistic model of inclusive education at Amar Jyoti left a profound and indelible impression on her.
This award will be awarded to ONE outgoing Physiotherapy student on an annual basis, with an aim to appreciate his/her overall performance. The award is based on the student’s cumulative academic performance over four and half years (including internship) plus their participation and excellence in co-curricular/extra-curricular activities, in addition to other factors such as leadership, participation in social work, and general conduct.
“The Kaushalya Mehta Memorial Scholarship”
The “Kaushalya Mehta Memorial Scholarship” has been instituted in the fond memory of Mrs. Kaushalya Mehta. This scholarship has been made possible by the generous support of Mr. Arun Mehta in memory of his mother, the late Mrs. Kaushalya Mehta.
“The Kaushalya Mehta Memorial Scholarship” will be awarded every year to ONE needy, meritorious II-year student for two consecutive years (II and III years) towards his/her tuition fees. The primary goal of this scholarship, as per the wishes of the donor, is to support meritorious students from the financially weaker section of society in their education and quest toward a physiotherapy degree.
The Scholarship will be in the monetary form in the amount of INR 50,000/- which will be given in 2 part payments of INR 25,000/- each per year towards their tuition costs. There will not be any cutoff list as such. Instead, there will be multiple rounds of seat allotment lists/merit lists released on the basis of the CUET PG scores.
