The NEET 2023 Counselling round 2 registration starts on August 9 and ends on 14, 2023. The NEET Seat Allotment result 2023 for round 2 will be released on August 18, 2023. The Government Medical College was the first medical college founded in the Akola district of Maharashtra in 2002. It is a government medical college that is approved by the Medical Council of India to provide doctoral courses. The Maharashtra University of Health Science is associated with GMC Akola. Facilities such as hostels, cafeterias, libraries, sports complexes, hospitals, labs, and other amenities are available at the Government Medical College Akola campus. 

GMC Akola courses are offered in MBBS, MD and MS programmes. The college also offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology programme for diploma candidates. The GMC Akola MD programme is offered in 11 specialisations and the MS programme is offered in three specialisations to candidates after completing their MBBS degrees. Government Medical College Akola MBBS admissions are based on the candidate's merit in the NEET-UG test held every year. GMC Akola MD and MS admissions are offered on the basis of the candidate's score in the NEET-PG examination.

GMC Akola courses are offered in MBBS, MD, MS and PGD programmes. The college offers 11 MD course specialisations such as pharmacology, anatomy, obstetrics & gynaecology, dermatology, venereology & leprology, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, tuberculosis & respiratory medicine, forensic medicine & toxicology and community medicine. 

GMC Akolacoursesalso include the Master of Surgery (MS) programme in three specialisations in the domains of ophthalmology, ENT and anatomy. GMC Akola also offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology programme for candidates pursuing higher studies in diploma.

GMC Akola UG admissions are offered through NEET-UG counselling. Candidates can visit the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Maharashtra’s official portal, to get register themselves for GMC Akola MBBS counselling 2023 by following the steps given below:

Step 1: Applicants must register for the counselling procedure online on the NEET-UG Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) official website and fill out all the relevant information in the form.

Step 2: A merit list will be generated upon the conclusion of the registration procedure.

Step 3: Shortlisted applicants will be allowed to proceed with the document verification process.

Step 4: Applicants can now fill out their choices/preferences online.

Step 5: Applicants will be chosen based on their merit, preferences, and availability of seats.

Step 6: GMC Akola applicants must report to the allotted college and bring their original documents and photocopies to the college on the stipulated date and time.

Step 7: Create an account on the official website.

Step 8: Candidates must select their preferred courses and colleges before locking them in on the internet portal.

Step 9: Based on available openings and candidate preferences, the seat allotment will be published online.

Step 10: Those who are assigned a seat in the subsequent rounds may either reject the seat or report to the assigned college and fulfil the GMC Akola admission processes.

Step 11: Candidates may remember that individuals who are given a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) would not be allowed to quit their seats under the Supreme Court of India's rules.
