RCE campus is spread over 20 acres of land on the bank of Ganga Canal surrounded with lush green, pollution free and peaceful environment. Roorkee is well connected through Air, Indian Railways and national highways by Govt. and private buses, with all nearby states. Classrooms of the college are well designed with LCD projector and CCTV cameras for effective learning and security of the students.RCE library is well-stocked and furnished where approximately 150 students can study at a time. Also, thousands of books are available in the library which encourages students to develop their knowledge and enhance their reading skills. The college also has a digital library where e-journals and 3000 e-books are available.
Haridwar University (or RCE Roorkee) encourages students to participate in sports and aims to develop students physically and mentally. Apart from that, college facilitates cafeteria for both students and staff with a variety of cuisines at reasonable rates.
Moreover, RCE has hostel facility which is available for both boys and girls students. The hostel rooms are well furnished and 24*7 security guards are on duty and CCTV cameras have been installed for active surveillance. Gym facility is available under an experienced trainer for boys and girls both. The computer labs are well equipped where various numbers of systems are set up and timely maintained by the IT professionals. The college also has an auditorium facility and seminar hall which are fully air-conditioned along with LCD projector facility. Additionally, transportation facility is available in RCE which is safe, secure and convenient for both students and staff. There is a small medical dispensary in the campus which caters to the medical services required at any point of time. RCE campus also has an ATM in addition to nationalised and private banking facilities for the convenience of the students. Overall, the Roorkee College of Engineering campus has all the infrastructure and facilities which is expected in a top-level Institute.
Hostel provides a feeling of Home-Away-From-Home to the students. Keeping in view the same philosophy we provide a secure, comfortable and healthy environment for all the residents of the RCE hostels. The hostel accommodation comprises of American style apartments which are well furnished, hygienic and have ultra modern amenities. Each room of the hostel is having box type bed, big almirah, mattresses and bed sheet for each student. The hostel premises has a common TV room and state of the art indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The hostel campus has an excellent modern gymnasium with a trainer. The entire hostel premises are Wi-Fi enabled. Presently there is two in-campus boys hostel viz. Munna Lal Bhawan, Krishna Dev Bhavan with a total capacity of accommodating around 800 boys. RCE also has separate in-campus Girls’ Hostels viz. Prem Lata Bhawan which can accommodate around 170 girl students.
Each Hostel is having a separate study room and group discussion also. Each hostel is having the daily newspaper facility. The Haridwar University hostel premises comprises of a separate dining facility in the Boys’ and Girls’ hostels. The menu of the Mess is decided by the Students’ Mess Committees. The food served is of high quality and meets the acceptable quality standards of as laid down under FSSAI and other Govt food safety regulations. Special consideration is given to provide a well-balanced, nutritional diet with varying food tastes.
Each hostel at Haridwar University formerly known as RCE has a residential Faculty Warden, Assistant Warden, and Attendants who are being monitored by a Chief Warden of RCE to promptly address the day to day issues of the hostel residents. To ensure security and safety of the hostel inmates 24X7 security guards are on duty and CCTV cameras have been installed for active surveillance.
