About Institute of Aeronautics & Engineering, Bhopal
The Institute of Aeronautics and Engineering (IAE), Bhopal is a technical institute ranked 7th in the overall ranking of Top 10 Engineering Institutes in Central India (Times Engineering Survey 2020). The institute is authorised by the Director-General of Civil Aviation and administered by the governing body of the Sha-Shib Group of Institutions. Currently, the IAE allows its apprentices to follow a work-study four-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course.
The Institute of Aeronautics and Engineering (IAE), Bhopal has a very successful placement record, with the latest placement session yielding a top annual package of Rs 60 LPA and an average annual CTC of Rs 8 LPA. The Institute has links with various major airlines and maintenance organisations such as Air India and GoAir. IAE Bhopal is also the first college in India to score 100% in the DGCA exam and had six India Toppers students in the DGCA papers in the last seven years.

The Institute of Aeronautics and Engineering (IAE) infrastructure is beautifully constructed including a huge playground where the students can play sports like cricket, football, basketball, and tennis. IAE also has extra co-curricular activity clubs like arts, music, and dance. IAE campus has all modern facilities and amenities to provide its students with an all-inclusive learning environment.
The IAE campus has spacious classrooms, a well-stocked library, a state-of-art computer lab, an electrical lab, a jet engine lab, an air-frame shop, hostels, canteens, gymnasiums, student hangout areas, and sports facilities. Moreover, the campus is fully wifi-enabled for the convenience of students, teachers, and other employees.

IAE Bhopal Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical and Avionics)
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, also called “AME”, is an important position in the operations department of Aircraft Maintenance the guidelines of which are mandated by the DGCA under the Aircraft Act 1934.
As per the rules laid by the Government of India, “No aircraft can take off without the certification from a qualified maintenance engineer”. To become an AME one has to complete an AME course from a DGCA-approved Institute. These recognized institutes teach the syllabus approved by the DGCA & conduct internal examinations for completion of the course. All AME institutes are allotted a limited no. of seats in the categories B1 (Mechanical) and B2 (Avionics).
