KJSCE - Admission 2024, Fees, Courses, Placement, Ranking

KJSCE will start the admission process for BTech after the MHT CET 2024 result is released. MHT CET 2024 exams for the PCM group are ongoing and it will end on May 17, 2024. The exams are on the following dates May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, and 17. Results will be announced in the second week of June 2024 (tentative).  Counselling for BTech based on MHT CET for admission to KJSCE will be held from June to August 2024 (tentatively).

Established in 1983, KJ Somaiya College of Engineering or KJSCE is one of the widely regarded engineering colleges in Mumbai, India. The college is a constituent college of Somaiya Vidyavihar University, a self-financed private university in Mumbai. As per the NIRF ranking 2022, the college was ranked in the 250-300 band in the engineering category.

The KJSCE courses list includes B.Tech, M.Tech, doctoral, and certificate programmes in multiple specialisations Naturally, all these courses are offered in affiliation with Somaiya Vidyavihar University. The college is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Moreover, it was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade in 2017. 

The KJSCE campus is located within the Somaiya Vidyavihar complex. Students at the college enjoy all the facilities provided by the university complex. The Training and Placement Cell at KJ Somaiya College of Engineering offers required placement support to its students. Many well-reputed companies regularly visit the campus for KJSCE campus placements. In 2023, more than 409 students were placed by the college with an average package of Rs 9.78 lakh per annum. The highest package offered was Rs 25 lakh per annum.

KJSCE provides financial aid to its needy students at the entry level. Apart from that, students also get access to various need-based and merit-based KJSCE Mumbai scholarships provided by the university. In addition, students of B.Tech EXTC/MECH receive a Special Scholarship from the institute.

KJSCE results based on the MHT CET 2024 exam is expected to be released in the first week of June 2024. The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is conducted every year at a state-level to allot admissions in the BE, B.Tech, and, B.Pharm courses across various colleges in Maharashtra. Approximately, 4,00,000 candidates appeared for exam the exam in 2023. A total of 28 students scored 100 percentile in the exam. The detailed steps to check the CET result 2024 are available below:

Step 1: Visit the official websites cetcell.mahacet.org or mahacet.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘CET Portal for AY 2024-25’ on this page. 

Step 3: Enter your application number and password. 

Step 4: Once entered, the MHT CET 2024 result will be displayed in a new window in the form of a scorecard.

Step 5: Download the scorecard and take a print out for future reference. 

Further, 3,33,041 students registered for the PCM exam in 2023 and 3,13,730 candidates appeared for the PCM exam. Moreover, 28 students scored a perfect 100 percentile in the 2023 exam. The previous year’s statistics for the MHT CET are provided below for the reference of candidates.
