The BDes fee for the first year is INR 3,26,000 which also includes tuition fees of INR 2,86,000. Based on the official announcement made by NIFT, the second phase of the BDes course admission process, the NIFT Situation Test 2024, will take place in offline mode in March 2024. However, the authority has not communicated the exact date for the NIFT 2024 Situation Test yet. Applicants must sit for the PI admission round and take the General Ability Test (GAT) to be assessed for admission to the MFTech and MFM programmes at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). To apply for MDes programmes, candidates must first complete the written GAT and CAT tests. If chosen, they must then show up for the personal interview.

The NIFT Situation Test is part of the NIFT entrance exam conducted by the institute. This selection involves a step-by-step process:- a written entrance exam (GAT & CAT) followed by the situation test. Only students who qualify for the written part are called for the situation test. Moreover, the final merit is based on both these parts, so candidates have to appear in both. This situation test holds 20% weightage in the admission process. The situation test for the BDes course is expected to be conducted sometime in March 2024 in offline mode while the entrance exam will be held on February 5, 2024.
