Raipur Institute of Technology (RITEE), a Chhattisgarh-based private technical institution, was established in 1995 under the aegis of the Mahanadi Education Society. The Mahanadi Education Society is a group of eminent technocrats, industrialists, and management professionals that has been on a mission to uplift the state's technical education landscape since its inception. Raipur Institute of Technology was the first among a series of higher education institutions under its umbrella that focuses on providing quality and industry-oriented technical education to aspiring students. 

RITEE Raipur is recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and the State Government Directorate of Technical Education and is affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University Bhilai (CSVTU). It has a total of eight constituent institutions that stand responsible for RITEE's academic activities and assist the institution in its goal of making students technologically superior and ethically stronger. RITEE provides scholarships to their students based on their eligibility criteria and marks. The management has fixed specific criteria for the most deserving candidates, who, based on their merits, can obtain scholarships for their further studies. Scholarships are also provided by governments for some privileged candidates.

RITEE Group had organized so many events such as annual award ceremonies, orientation ceremonies, and global award ceremonies for appraisal and recognition of the talent and performance of students in the university. Events for social welfare and awareness are also celebrated, such as International Yoga Day, blood donation camps, breast cancer awareness programs, etc. Festivals like Janmashtami, Garba events, Holi, and Basant Panchami are also celebrated among students and faculties to spread happiness and harmony in the environment. Scientific and technology-related events are framed so that students can participate and enhance their knowledge; several experts and guests are invited to boost their confidence and help them learn more exciting things. Other sports and cultural activities are also organized for fun and enjoyment once a year. From the fresher's party to the graduation ceremony, several events are scheduled for students to feel welcomed and at home.
