AIC Raise Foundation Announces NSIIR for Institutions that Support UN Sustainable Development Goals

The AIC Raise Foundation, supported by the NITI Aayog government of India and the Atal Innovation Mission, and a listed member of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN), has announced the National Sustainability Impact Institutions Ranking (NSIIR). This recognition aims to honour educational institutions that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by fostering a sustainable culture on their campuses, incorporating it into their curriculum, and integrating it into their daily operations. All eligible universities and institutions can register now at aicraise.com/nsiir/. The last date to register is September 29, 2023.

Eligible Universities and Institutions 

Eligible institutions include universities, arts and science colleges, research institutions, engineering colleges, agricultural colleges, management schools, pharmacy colleges, medical and dental colleges, law schools, polytechnic institutes, and architecture colleges. These institutions should be passionate about the UN SDGs and actively engaged in sustainability initiatives that demonstrate measurable impact, innovation, and creativity. They should also have a strong focus on documentation and evidence, collaboration, and partnerships.

Selection Process

The selection process involves:

  • The submission of application form 
  • Evaluation and review phase 
  • Selection, recognition, and showcasing of successful institutions 

Applicants are urged to review the guidelines thoroughly and provide all necessary information accurately and comprehensively in the application form, which is divided into eight sections.

Scoring Criteria

  • The total score of an institution for a particular year is determined by combining its score in SDG 17 with its top three scores from the remaining 16 SDGs. 
  • Each SDG score is scaled in such a way that the highest score in each SDG is 100 and the lowest is 0. This scaling is done to account for slight variations in the scoring range of each SDG and to ensure fairness for all institutions, regardless of which SDGs they have submitted data for. These scaled scores are used to identify the SDGs in which a university has shown the strongest performance; these may not necessarily be the SDGs where the university has the highest rank or the highest unscaled scores.
  • SDG 17 contributes to 22% of the total score, while each of the other SDGs carries a weight of 26%. This implies that different institutions are evaluated based on a unique set of SDGs, depending on their specific focus. The overall ranking score is calculated as an average of the institution's total scores from the previous two years.

GATE COAP Round 1 Offer 2024: IIT Kanpur has released the GATE COAP Round 1 seat allotment result today, May 13, 2024, on the official website- iitk.ac.in/coap2024. Candidates, who have completed registration, the authority has released the round 1 seat allotment result for them. If the candidates are satisfied with the GATE CAP Round 1 offer, then they accept it.
To accept the round 1 offer, the candidates should enter the login credentials, such as the User ID and password. Candidates will get two days to accept the allotment and confirm the same. The last date for accepting the GATE COAP round 1 offer is May 15, 2024 (till 9 AM). The candidates, who will not be satisfied with the round 1 seat allotment result, can participate in the round 2 process (which will start on May 20, 2024). COMEDK Question Paper 2024 with Answer Key: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has conducted the COMEDK UGET 2024 exam in computer-based test mode; May 12, 2024. As the COMEDK 2024 exam is conducted online, candidates will not receive a physical copy of the question paper. However, to assist test takers in verifying their responses, the memory-based question paper and unofficial answer key for COMEDK 2024 are accessible on this page. This year, the examination was held in three sessions, each session of 3 hours. Since the questions below are memory-based, the complete questionnaire will not be covered. 

The question paper of COMEDK is bifurcated into Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics sections. A total of 180 questions are constituted in the paper, each multiple-choice question carrying 1 mark. The response sheets can be accessed at the official website at 11 am. To check and download the COMEDK Response Sheet, the candidates can enter the login credentials, such as application Seq No or User ID and password. The candidates will find the answers marked by them in the engineering entrance exam. Using the answer key and response sheet, the candidates can count the correct answers marked by them, so that they can estimate their performance level in the exam by calculating the score.

Test takers who appeared for the examination can access their scorecards on May 24, 2024 at 2 PM. Post declaration of the results, COMEDK rank cards will be issued to candidates in online mode. Aspirants can access their results-cum-scorecards using login credentials viz, user ID, and password. Candidates whose names will be mentioned in the rank list will be called to attend the counselling session.
