SGBAU Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

SGBAU admission to BTech courses will begin with MHT CET 2024 counselling which will be held from June to August 2024 (tentative). Students need to qualify for the MHT CET 2024 exam, which will be held from May 02-17, 2024, to attend the counselling process. MHT CET result is expected to be announced in the second week of June 2024. JEE Main scores are also accepted for SGBAU admission to BTech. 

Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University admissions are offered in undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Every year a large number of candidates apply for admission in the university. SGBAU Amravati admissions are offered based on candidates' scores in the entrance examinations or marks obtained in the last qualifying exam (depending on the degree). For SGBAU B.Tech admission, MHT CET scores are accepted. At the postgraduate level, the university accepts MAH MBA CET and MAH MCA CET for admission in MBA and MCA courses, respectively. As per the admission process of SGBAU, candidates must first meet the eligibility criteria determined by the university before applying for admission.

SGBAU application process for all the courses is online and centralised. Eligible candidates can fill the SGBAU Amravati application available through the CAP platform's official website by following the steps below:

Step 1: Visit the SGBAU official website.

Step 2: In the student’s corner tab, click admission.  

Step 3: Register and log in to the CAP interface.

Step 4: Fill the application form and submit it by paying the application fees.  

Step 5: Save the application for further process.

• Meet the eligibility criteria and appear for MHT CET.
• Candidates who qualify MHT CET need to register and participate in counselling conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. 
• Fill college choices and select SGBAU Amravati as the first choice.
• Candidates are allotted colleges. Once SGBAU is allotted, visit the campus. 
• Confirm admission by verifying documents and paying programme fees. 

• Applicants need to appear for GATE and obtain a valid score.
• Next, participate in counselling conducted by the CET Cell, Maharashtra. 
• Then, candidates are required to fill college choices. 
• For admission in SGBAU Amravati, select it as the first choice.
• Based on choice filled, GATE score, seat availability and category, colleges are allotted to candidates.
• Once Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University is allotted, visit the campus.
• To secure admission, candidates are required to deposit fees and documents. 

• Take up MAH MBA CET and MAH MCA CET for admission in MBA and MCA courses, respectively. 
• Register for counselling conducted by the CET Cell, Maharashtra. 
• Participate in counselling and select college choices in preference order.
• Then, colleges are allotted to candidates based on their entrance score, choice filled and category. 
• Candidates to whom SGBAU Amravati is allotted need to visit the campus. 
• Confirm Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University admission by paying fees and submitting required documents. 

• Candidates must first meet the eligibility criteria determined by the college. 
• Next, they need to fill the SGBAU Amravati application form. 
• Based on marks in the last qualifying examination, they are selected for admission. 
• Selected candidates need to pay SGBAU Amravati fees and submit documents to secure admission.

• Fill SGBAU Amravati PhD application form.
• Next, appear for the PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the university.
• Based on PET score, candidates are shortlisted for a personal interview.
• Shortlisted candidates need to appear for a personal interview.
• Based on performance in personal interview, candidates are selected for admission. 
• The last step is fee submission and documents verification by candidates.
