Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur is a state public university established by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1964. The university is named after the first chief minister of Madhya Pradesh i.e. M.P. Shri Ravi Shankar Shukla. The university is popularly known as PRSU Raipur. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). PRSU has been ranked 78th in NIRF Ranking 2022 in the pharmacy category. Furthermore, the university was also ranked in the 150 - 200 band in the university category in NIRF Ranking 2022.

The gigantic campus of the university covers an area of 300.17 acres of land. PRSU offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees. The university has a total of 29 departments. Some of the popular courses offered are BA LLB, B.Voc, B.Pharma, MA, MSW, LLM, M.Phil etc. PRSU offers both merit based and entrance exam based admission (depending on the course). The university collaborates with numerous institutions and companies to help in the overall development of students. Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University offers merit based and need based scholarships as well.

The university has a placement cell to take care of summer internship and placement of students. PRSU campus has facilities such as library, modern classrooms, health centre, boys and girls hostels etc. 

The university has a wide range of scholarships for students. Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University scholarships act as a motivating factor for students. Reversed category (SC/ST/OBC) enrolled in different programmes are offered financial aid in the form of tuition fees reimbursement. Students are required to meet the eligibility criteria determined by the university to avail PRSU scholarships. The university has separate scholarships for M.Phil and PhD students. PRSU scholarship list also consists of state and national level scholarships. Students can visit the National Scholarship Portal to avail state and national level scholarships. 

PRSU Scholarships Details

• The university offers Rs 5,000 per month fellowship to twenty students enrolled in M.Phil courses. 
• Twenty students from PhD courses are provided a Rs 10,000 per month fellowship. 

Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University merit list is released for admission in various programmes. Each department releases a merit list for admission in courses offered by it. PRSU merit list contains names of candidates who are shortlisted for admission in the university. Every year, the university departments release multiple merit lists on the official website of PRSU Raipur. The merit list varies as per category for candidates. It must be noted that PRSU merit list 2023 is not available yet. 

At present, a total of 244 colleges are affiliated to Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University. Colleges that are affiliated to the university follow the admission process prescribed by the university. PRSU affiliated colleges are categorised into following categories: 90 government colleges, 9 private aided colleges and 145 self financed colleges.
