BET 2025 exam date has been released. It will be conducted on May 13, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M. Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) is a national-level entrance examination in India administered by NTA on behalf of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. It is conducted to select students for the award of the DBT Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF). This fellowship supports students who want to pursue research in various fields of biotechnology.

BET 2025 Application Form
BET 2025 application form was released by NTA on February 28, 2025. The last date to submit BET 2025 application form is March 28, 2025 (upto 5 PM). Students interested in applying for admission to any of the courses can register on BET exam 2025 website. You can apply for BET online at nta.ac.in and dbtbet2025.ntaonline.in. Students who fulfil the criteria can complete the application and send it in before the closing date. The steps for BET 2025 registration include candidate registration, filling in information, uploading documents, fee payment, and form submission. BET 2025 application fee for GEN/OBC-NCL-EWS is Rs 1300, and for the SC/ST/PwD, it is Rs 650.

BET 2025 Choice of Examination Cities
While filling BET application form, students may select any four of the cities listed on the application form. Students will be assigned to one of four preferred cities, but administrative considerations may cause them to be assigned to a different location. Students will not be charged any TA/DA for taking the test.
BET 2025 Application Form Correction
BET 2025 application form correction window will open on March 30 - 31, 2025. NTA will activate BET 2025 correction window process for the registered applicants. The correction facility for BET 2025 will be available until March 31, 2025 (upto 11:50 PM).
BET Exam Eligibility 2025
BET 2025 exam eligibility criteria are very important and candidates should confirm their eligibility with each participating college or university before submitting an application. Students should keep in mind that those who are in the final year of their qualifying degree are also eligible to fill out BET 2025 application form. Following are some of the common BET 2025 eligibility criteria (released) that are required by all participating institutions.
Nationality: Only bonafide Indian nationals are allowed to appear in BET 2025 exam.
Educational Qualification: Applicants having a valid Bachelors (BE/ BTech/MBBS) and Masters (MSc/ MTech/ MVSc/MPharm/Integrated MSc/ MTech) in any discipline of Biotechnology, Life Sciences such as Biomedical, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Botany, Computational Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Chemistry, Genetics, or any other allied fields of Biology/Life-Sciences are eligible for taking admission through BET 2025 exam. For taking admission through BET in different postgraduate courses in the participating universities, candidates must have completed their Bachelors in the relevant stream from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks for SC/ ST/ Differently Abled and 60% for General, EWS, and OBC Category.
Those who have taken or will take their qualifying degree's final examination are eligible to apply for BET 2025 exam in the result awaited (RA) category. Such a candidate must submit an Undertaking/Attestation Form certified/stamped by the Head of the Institute (with address and name) where they are pursuing their qualifying degree. Failure to follow this instruction will result in the rejection of BET 2025 applications.
Minimum Marks: Applicants representing General, EWS & OBC category must score at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade and 55% marks are required by those representing SC/ ST/ Differently Abled candidates in aggregate.
Age Criteria: For BET 2025 exam, maximum 28 years of age for General and EWS category. There is age relaxation for SC/ST/ Differently Abled/ Women candidates and the upper age criterion for them are 33 years and 31 years for those representing OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
BET 2025 Exam Pattern
Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) will be administered in a single session on May 13, 2025 (10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.). The examination lasts three hours. BET will take place online, and the question paper will be in English. BET 2025 question paper can be divided into two sections:
- Section "A" consists of 50 10+2 level multiple-choice questions in General Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, General Aptitude, Quantitative Ability, and General Biotechnology. Each question has one point, with a negative mark of -1 for erroneous answers.
- Section "B" will include 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in specialised areas of biotechnology, with the applicant required to attempt at least 50 questions. Each question is worth three points, with a negative mark of one for each incorrect response.

BET 2025 Admit Card
The National Testing Agency will provide BET 2025 Admit Card to students who successfully complete the application process. The exact release dates for BET 2025 admit cards have not yet been released. BET 2025 admit card includes all of the necessary information, including the candidate's name, roll number, examination centre, and exam time. Students must bring their admit cards to BET 2025 exams, or they will be unable to participate. If students are unable to download their BET 2025 admit cards, they should call the NTA helpline or email dbt@nta.ac.in.

BET 2025 Response Sheet
BET 2025 Response Sheet will be released by the NTA on its official website, exams.nta.ac.in/DBT/. Alongside with the response sheet, BET 2025 provisional answer key and master question papers will be made available. The responses that were marked during the exam are included in BET response sheet 2025. Students who will attend the exam will be able to download the response sheet from here.
Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2025 response sheet will be available for download two to three days following the exam. Students must provide their application number, password, or date of birth to download the response sheet. Students can go over their BET response sheet 2025 and cross-check them with the NTA's BET answer key.
BET 2025 Result
NTA will publish BET 2025 results on its official website. BET 2025 results can be downloaded here by students who plan to take the exam.
