Established in Varanasi, the Banaras Hindu University offers a Bachelor in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) course for a duration of two years divided into four semesters. BHU Varanasi offers admission to its B.P.Ed course on the basis of marks secured in CUET or the Common University Entrance Test, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. All the candidates who qualify for the BHU CUET 2023 exam are then granted admission to the BHU’s B.P.Ed degree program.
A total of 15% of seats are reserved in each category for female candidates, however, in case of any of the female candidates, the seats are allocated to the male candidates. Candidates must note that physically disabled applicants or not considered for admission to this course at BHU Varanasi.

BHU B.P.Ed Eligibility Criteria 2023
- Bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% of the required marks and participation in inter-college/inter-zonal/inter-district/inter-school athletic comB.P.Editions approved by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Indian government.
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education with a minimum aggregate of 45%
- Bachelor's degree in any field with 45% of the possible points and having taken physical education as either a required or optional course.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 45% of the required marks, participation in a national, state, or inter-university tournament, or achievement of a first, second, or third place finish in an inter-college, inter-zonal, inter-district, or inter-school comB.P.Edition in sports and games as sanctioned by the AIU, IOA, SGFI, or Indian Government of India.

BHU B.P.Ed Application Process 2023
The BHU CUET B.P.Ed 2023 application form was made available online on the official website from February 19, 2023, till March 20, 2023.
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements must complete and submit the BHU CUET B.P.Ed 2023 application form before the due date. Candidates must include their contact, academic, and personal information in the BHU CUET B.P.Ed 2023 application form. The application form must contain only true and accurate information and candidates must cross-check the entire information provided in the online application form before finally submitting the online application.

BHU B.P.Ed Merit List 2023
After the BHU CUET B.P.Ed 2023 results are posted online, the participating universities will begin publishing the CUET 2023 merit list. Details including the candidate's name, program of interest, roll number, registration number, category, father's name, and category will be listed in the CUET 2023 merit list. Depending on the number of open seats in the programs they offer, each university will publish its own CUET 2023 merit list. Any applicants whose names appear on the CUET 2023 merit list must finish the counseling procedure by paying the admission fee and freezing their seats.
For the BHU CUET B.P.Ed merit list, the total of the three factors will determine the merit for the degree program i.e. marks secured in the CUET exam, the physical fitness test, and the bonus points for athletic achievement (if any). Candidates will only be invited to appear in the physical fitness test at the Varanasi Center if their number is six times the intake for the B.P.Ed course in each category as determined by the results of the entrance test (CBT) administered by NTA. The merit will be determined as follows if the university agrees to lower the minimum qualifying mark of 35% required for the theory component (CBT) of the B.P.Ed entrance test:
- First, applicants who obtained the minimum qualifying marks in both the theory (CBT) and physical fitness tests will be listed in the merit list based on their aggregate scores in both tests.
- Thereafter, applicants who achieved the minimum qualifying marks in the physical fitness test but did not get the minimum qualifying marks in the theory paper would be placed on the merit list based on their total marks from both tests (CBT).
How to check the BHU B.P.Ed CUET 2023 Merit List?

BHU B.P.Ed Selection Process 2023
An applicant must take the computer-based test (CBT) and the physical fitness test in order to be admitted to the B.P.Ed program. The Physical Fitness Test carries 400 marks. The CBT exam will comprise a total of 100 MCQs containing questions from English, Computer basics, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and General Aptitude. A candidate will only be regarded as having taken the BHU B.P.Ed 2023 Common University Entrance Test for B.P.Ed if they have undertaken both the theory (CBT) and physical fitness tests. Three factors will be added together to determine the B.P.Ed merit: the score on the computer-based theory paper, the score on the physical fitness test, and any bonus points awarded for athletic accomplishment (if any).
The number of applicants picked for the Physical Fitness Test at the Varanasi Center will be six times the number of applicants for the B.P.Ed program in each category based on the results of the entrance test (CBT) administered by NTA.
