Do's and Don'ts after Karnataka DCET Mock Allotment 2024: KEA has released the Karnataka DCET 2024 mock seat allotment on July 11, 2024, in online mode at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. Through the mock allotment process of Karnataka DCET 2024, the candidates can learn about certain important aspects like the college option editing process. During the mock allotment, the candidates are allocated their first choice or the last choice. There are certain do's and dont's of the Karnataka DCET mock allotment that candidates must be aware of. Candidate must check if their mock allotment matches the first option they gave throughout the choice-filling procedure. Candidates must avoid from altering the choices before seeing the previous years' closing standings and mock round cutoff scores. The candidates are advised to go through the pointers given below for a comprehensive understanding of the things they should and should not do after the KEA officials declare the mock allotment result for Karnataka DCET 2024. 

KEA has published the DCET mock allotment on July 11, 2024. Following that, candidates can exercise their options from July 11 to 18, 2024. The Karnataka DCET Seat Allotment 2024 has been released on July 22, 2024. Karnataka DCET counselling 2024 is underway. Do's of Karnataka DCET 2024 Mock Allotment

Here is the suggestive list of activities that can be followed after checking the mock allotment -

  • Check if your mock allotment matches the first option you provided during the choice-filling process

  • You do not have to modify the choices further if your mock allotment matches the first option you provided during the choice-filling process

  • If your mock allotment result is for the second/third/fourth/lower option (rather than the first choice), check the Karnataka DCET 2024 mock allotment cutoff for the college you chose as the first option. Check the past years' Karnataka DCET cutoff of the particular college as well. Check to see if your Karnataka DCET rank corresponds to the sample cutoff and the previous year's closing rank of the particular college, category, and course. Edit the college selections based on your observations.

  • If you did not obtain an allocation based on your initial choice in the mock round, identify the first five colleges you picked in the choices form. Check out all five of these universities' mock round cutoffs and the prior year's closing ranks. If your Karnataka DCET rank does not correspond to any of the college cutoff/closing ranks, you must adjust the settings appropriately. Select the universities that fall within your rank range based on the simulated cutoff and change the choice entry form.

  • If you are vying for admission into a particular course, please keep that particular course in the priority offered by the colleges of your choice. In this case, only submit the college options after you have crosschecked the course priority number more than once.

  • Do not share your CET number and other candidate credentials with others

Note: As most of the candidates might edit their choices after the mock allotment, the actual seat allotment may vary/ change.
