DU BTech Admission & Entrance Exam 2022: The Delhi University admission policy for 2022 has been amended.  Now, the Common University Entrance Test is mandatory for all applicants seeking admission and DU has also canceled the DUJAT test. The CUET 2022 applications are now closed. The CUET exam 2022 is scheduled to take place on July 8, 2022 tentatively. The Common University Entrance Test will be used to admit students to DU's undergraduate programmes in 2022. Candidates must have finished 10+2 with a cumulative grade point average of at least 40% to be considered for DU BTech admission. On the basis of CUET marks, candidates would be chosen through e-counseling conducted by Delhi University. Delhi University is one of the leading universities in the country. DU offers engineering courses through its Cluster Innovation Centre.

All About DU B tech Entrance Exams

Every year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) test to enroll students in various UG programmes offered at all central institutions, including DU, JNU, JMI, EFLU, and the University of Allahabad. Students interested in studying undergraduate programmes at central institutions must take the CUET, which is now required. The results of a student's Board exams will have no bearing on his or her entrance to a college or programme. It will be solely dependent on his or her CUET scores; nonetheless, board scores may be the bare minimum for admittance.

DU B tech Eligibility Criteria

There are certain eligibility criteria that are to be fulfilled by the students who want to take admission in the BTech courses offered by the University of Delhi. The eligibility criteria for various courses offered differ from each other. These criteria are decided by the authority which is responsible for conducting the admission process. Students aspiring to join DU BTech courses should be aware of the eligibility criteria before appearing for it.

The eligibility criteria mostly comprise minimum marks required, level of education, qualifying entrance examination, compulsory subject, etc. Candidates can go through the eligibility criteria given below:

  • Students are required to pass their intermediate level examination (+2 level) from any of the recognized boards of the country.

  • Students are required to have a minimum aggregate of 50% in their best of four subjects.

  • Students are required to have mathematics as a compulsory subject at the intermediate level.

  • There is no minimum age limit for candidates to apply for BTech courses offered by Delhi University.

Candidates should be aware of the fact that the minimum marks required criteria vary on the basis of the category they belong to. Given below is a table which explains the same:

DU B tech Application Form

Students who wish to pursue the BTech courses offered by Delhi University are required to fill the online application forms. Given below is the step-wise process regarding the filling up of the application forms.

  • Interested students have to register themselves in order to apply for admission. Registration includes submission of some of the personal details such as the name of the candidate, email address, password. After entering all the details, they should click on the “Submit” button. Immediately, a screen with all the entered details will appear. Students are advised to save it for future reference.

  • The next step is to fill the application. To do so, candidates will have to visit the official website of the authority. They will need to log in by entering the username and password which has been set at the time of registration. Once the students log in, they will be to fill the application form. The filling of the form requires going through the declaration and accepting it. They will also have to enter the information such as personal details, bank details, sport and extra-curricular activities, mode of admission, etc. After entering all the information, they should press the submit button.

  • The next step involves uploading important documents. This is considered to be a vital step and students are required to be very careful while doing it. The dimensions and format of the documents are prescribed by the authority. Applicants are required to comply with the declarations. The documents which are to be uploaded are - scanned signature, passport size photographs, caste certificates / ECA certificates ( if required ), self-attested copies of mark sheets.

  • After submitting the important documents, candidates are also advised to preview the application form of DU BTech 2019. This will give them a scope to rectify any wrong information before proceeding with the payment.

  • The next step is the payment of the application fees. It is to be noted that the application of any candidate is not considered to be successful unless he/she pays the application fees. The payment of the fee is done through online mode by using Net Banking or Debit/Credit Card. The application fees are non-refundable. The fee for candidates who belong to the General and OBC category is Rs 500, whereas the fee for candidates who belong to the SC/ST or PWD category is Rs 200. After paying the course fees, candidates will be provided with a receipt. They should keep it carefully for future reference.

  • After the payment, candidates can submit their application form. To be on the safer side, applicants are advised to download the application form and take a printout of it.

DU B tech Exam Pattern 2022

Students can get admission to the BTech courses offered by the University of Delhi by cracking the DUET entrance examination conducted by the varsity. But before, appearing for the entrance, it is necessary for the students to be aware of the examination pattern. Knowing about the CUET exam pattern in detail will give the candidates an extra edge over the rest. Therefore students should go through this section with utter diligence and prepare accordingly. Important points related to the DU BTech exam pattern 2022 are given below. CUET 2022 will be held online this year. CUET UG 2022 will be divided into four divisions, as follows:

  • 13 Languages (Section IA)
  • 19 Languages (Section IB)
  • 27 Domain-Specific Subjects (Section II)
  • General Examination (Section III)
  • The question paper will be of the MCQ type alone, with a total of 175 questions, of which 140 will be tried.

Admit cards are considered to be the most important documents for any entrance examination. Candidates had to download their respective admit cards by directly going to the official website of the university authority. CUET admit card are required in order to enter the exam halls. These are steps that should be followed by the candidates in order to gain access to their respective DU BTech admit cards:

  • Visit the official website of the examination conducting authority
