The Reasoning and Comprehension syllabus for GATE 2025 has been uploaded on the official website by IIT Roorkee. The GATE 2025 Reasoning and Comprehension syllabus does not aim to test language competence in terms of vocabulary and grammar. It rather focuses on critical reasoning and text analysis, and its rhetorical and stylistic structure by the learner. Ability to comprehend relationships in short passages or statements and being able to draw inferences or reasonable conclusions from them.

Expression

Questions on rhetorical and stylistic aspects of a short passage including modifications or corrections of particular sentences.

Logical Reasoning

Thinking critically to predict or evaluate an argument, identify the primary and supporting arguments, assess outcomes etc.

Reading Comprehension

Ability to comprehend complex language material in short paragraphs and answer questions regarding them.
