GAT-B is a national-level entrance exam that is conducted annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Graduate Aptitude Test Biotechnology (GAT-B)
is conducted for candidates seeking admissions in
M.Sc
and other M.Sc integrated courses. There are a total of 34 participating universities offering 1221 seats to 64 Postgraduate programs through GAT-B 2025. Before applying for the exam, candidates are advised to check the

The candidate applying for GAT-B has to apply only through online mode by accessing the website: dbt.nta.ac.in. The applicants must be in possession of the following documents in order to apply for GAT-B 2025 exam.
- Xth Certificate as proof of Date of Birth
- Government Identity Card like Aadhaar Card/Pan Card/Voter Id/Passport/ Any other valid government proof
- Educational Qualification Details
- Scanned Passport Size Photograph
- Scanned Clear Signature
- Scanned Copy of certificates in case the result is awaiting
- A valid e-mail ID and mobile number
- Certificates if applicable in case of SC/ST category or differently-abled

The following steps are very important for the candidates to get registered for the GAT-B 2025.
Step 1: Registration Process for GAT-B 2025
The registration will be done by creating the candidate’s profile on the admission portal of GAT-B 2025.
- Online Registration will be done by using an Email ID, Mobile Number. A system-generated Application number will be issued which has to be noted down for future reference.
- After the registration process gets completed, a username and password will be generated by the system.
- The candidates have to log in and fill in all the personal details in the form.

Step 3: Fee Payment for GAT-B 2025
The payment for the application fee has to be done in online mode by the applicants. The application fee for GAT-B 2025 that the candidates need to pay as per their respective category are given below:

Important Instructions for GAT-B 2025 Registration
- The candidates must apply “Online” only for GAT-B 2025 by visiting the official website www.dbt.nta.ac.in. Application submitted other than online mode will not be accepted.
- The candidate must submit only one application form. Multiple submissions of forms will lead to the rejection of the application.
- Candidates must keep all the required documents ready as mentioned above before filling out the online application form.
- The candidates must read the information bulletin and go through the Replica of Application Form as provided on the official website in order to confirm their eligibility and acquaint themselves with the requirements for submission of the online application form.
