DTE MP BE/BTech Admission 2024 - The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh is conducting the DTE MP B.Tech admission 2024. The DTE MP B.Tech Counselling 2024 for the main round has been over. The authorities are conducting the DTE MP BE/ BTech college-level counselling. The round 1 college-level counselling for DTE MP B.Tech admission 2024 has been over. Candidates can register for DTE MP B.Tech college-level counselling round 2 from September 13 to 15, 2024. Candidates must appear at the designated college to complete reporting on September 15, 2024, from 10: 30 am to 11:45 pm. Round 1 of DTE MP counselling 2024 was purely based on JEE Main 2024 scores. Madhya Pradesh Engineering (B.E) Admission and Selection Process 2024

The B.E. admission procedure in Madhya Pradesh involves different stages. As the admissions are completely based on merit, preparation of a merit list or rank list, and declaration of opening and closing ranks are some of the steps involved in the admission process. The B.E admission process of Madhya Pradesh is broadly divided into two categories –

Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Procedure through JEE Main:

JEE Main score is the major criterion for B.E admission in Madhya Pradesh. DTE MP will come up with a separate merit list of the candidates who have applied for B.E admission with a valid JEE Main score. The common merit/ rank list will have the name of the candidate, category, order of merit, and JEE Main rank. Candidates who feature in the common merit list will be considered for the seat allotment.

Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Procedure through 10+2 Merit:

Candidates who do not have a valid JEE Main score can compete for B.E admission in Madhya Pradesh through 10+2 merit. DTE MP will release a separate merit list for 10+2 pass-outs, and all the students who feature in the merit list will be considered for seat allotment subject to the availability of seats in specific colleges and courses.

Only the candidates who participate in the online counselling process conducted by DTE MP for B.E admissions will be considered for the admission process.

Madhya Pradesh B.E Seat Allotment Process 2024

Madhya Pradesh BE seat allotment will be declared by the Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. Candidates can check their seat allotment results by logging on to the official website of DTE Madhya Pradesh and logging in with the help of their registered credentials. The seat allotment letter will be released based on JEE Main 2024 scores. Candidates who are not satisfied with the seat allotment results can check the available vacant seats. The seat allotment after upgrading is declared in online mode. The seat allotment process of Madhya Pradesh B.E admissions involves different stages, and the same can be checked below.

1. Release of Common Merit List:

DTE Madhya Pradesh has released the Common Merit List on July 30, 2024, of candidates eligible for B.E admission in the state. The common merit list has the name of the candidate, JEE Main Roll Number, Category, and Merit Number. These candidates will get admission to the B.E course based on merit.

2. Publication of Provisional Seat Allotment Letter:

The DTE MP B.Tech seat allotment letter for round 2 has been released on September 3, 2024. Candidates can download the seat allotment letter for round 2 and complete further admission process proceedings from September 3 to 6, 2024. The DTE MP has published the seat allotment letter on August 13, 2024, the official website. The candidates can download the seat allotment letter if they are satisfied with the allotment between August 13 to 16, 2024. 

3. Upgradation of Seat:

Candidates who aspire to seat upgradation can re-submit the option entry form on the official website from August 13 to 16, 2024. Students will be given two chances to upgrade their current allotment. The seat allotment will be published as per the schedule.

4. Reporting to College:

After the seat allotment, the candidates must download the seat allotment letter, and report to the respective engineering college with all the relevant documents.

5. Verification of Documents:

The college authorities will verify the documents of candidates to confirm admission.

6. Admission Confirmation:

The admission of the candidates will be confirmed after the document verification, and the candidates are required to deposit the first-year B.E. fee within the date specified by the college.

What after DTE MP B.E/ B.Tech Seat Allotment 2024?

Once a seat has been allotted to the candidates, they will have the following options to choose from. Candidates can select any one of the options mentioned below if they are not satisfied with the seat allotment.

• Option 1- Upgrade seat: If candidates are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they can select to upgrade it. However, this option can only be chosen by the candidates who will be applying on the basis of JEE Main 2024 scores. Candidates who will be applying on the basis of a qualifying exam will not be able to avail this option.
• Option 2- Internal branch sliding: Once a seat has been allotted to the candidates, they can opt for internal branch sliding in the same college against the vacant or dropout seats. However, to avail this option candidates will have to pay the portal fee of INR 100.

In case seats remain vacant, a special round of DTE MP counselling and seat allotment 2024 will be conducted to provide admission to eligible candidates into government, private, self-financed, and government-funded institutes. The special round will be conducted on the basis of the JEE Main 2024 and class 12 merit. In case, there are vacant seats, a round of MP DTE 2024 counselling and seat allotment will be conducted for private institutes only.

Entrance Exams Accepted by Madhya Pradesh Engineering Colleges 2024

DTE Madhya Pradesh does not conduct a state-level entrance exam for B.E admission. All engineering/B.E colleges in MP accept JEE Main 2024 scores for B.E admissions. The applicants must have a valid JEE Main score to secure admission. On the other hand, students with Class 12 merit can also register for Madhya Pradesh B.E admission. DTE MP releases a separate merit list for JEE Main qualifiers and qualifying exams. MP B.E aspirants should appear for JEE Main to increase their admission chances. The colleges will come up with opening and closing ranks for MP B.E admissions, and candidates with a valid JEE Main 2024 rank can apply for admission. DTE MP follows the reservation rules of the state government for B.E admissions. The break-up of engineering seats in Madhya Pradesh is as follows –

The seats available under the Madhya Pradesh domicile category are distributed among different categories such as SC, ST, OBC, General, etc. Equal representation is given to all categories during the admission process. The reservation rules do not apply for outside MP students and NRI quota.
