MP BTech Admission 2024: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will conduct MP BTech Admission 2024 based on the marks obtained by candidates in the JEE Main exam. To be eligible for admission to BTech (Bachelor of Technology) courses offered by engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh, candidates must have cleared the JEE Mains examination. The candidates will be assigned ranks based on their JEE scores and the seat allocation process will be conducted accordingly. The MP BTech Admission Counselling 2024 is expected to begin in June 2024. DTE will publish the common merit list for admission tentatively in July 2024.

Although admission to the BTech program in Madhya Pradesh is primarily based on the national-level JEE Main exam, candidates who do not have a valid JEE score can also apply for admission. Seats that remain vacant after the counselling rounds will be filled based on the candidate's performance in their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination.

DTE MP BTech Admission Dates 2024 have not been announced officially yet. However, following the release of the JEE Main result 2024, the state-level counselling process is expected to begin in June 2024. The tentative dates can be checked below -

Eligibility Criteria for MP BTech Admission 2024

Before applying for BTech course admission in the state of Madhya Pradesh, aspirants must fulfil the MP BTech eligibility criteria 2024 stated below - 

• Every candidate should meet the eligibility criteria set by the authority to get an MP BTech  Admission course in Madhya Pradesh.

• The candidate should be a citizen of India.

• The Candidate must pass Class 12 from a recognized university or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university with subjects including Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Technical subjects/ Information Technology/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture or Business Studies as their main subjects with a minimum aggregate of 45%. However, for reserved candidates, there is a relaxation of 5%.

• Students whose results are yet to be declared are also eligible to apply for the exam.

• Regarding the age limit, there are no such criteria as they are appearing through the JEE (Main) examination.

MP BTech Admission Process 2024

Candidates seeking MP BTech Admission are required to fill out the JEE Main online application form on the official website of NTA (National Testing Agency). They must also complete the application fee payment process through online mode. The steps to apply for MP BTech Admission 2024 are as follows -

• Go to the NTA official website - nta.ac.in

• Click on the 'Online Registration' link

• Register on the portal and save the system-generated Application Number

• Once registered successfully, a unique Login ID and Password will be generated; sign in using the same

• Go through the instructions to fill out the Online Application Form and check the eligibility criteria 

• Enter your personal, contact, and academic details in the application form

• Upload scanned images of the photograph and signature

• Upload scanned documents, including 12th marksheet, certificates and admit card in the recommended size and format

Selection Process for MP BTech Admission 2024

Admission to the BTech course is determined by the performance in JEE Main. Candidates' names will be listed in the merit list according to their marks/rank. After completing the allotment procedure based on JEE Main scores, the remaining seats will be allocated based on merit in the Class XII examination.

MP BTech Admission Counselling 2024

The counselling procedure involves registration, uploading documents, choice filling and locking, seat allotment and reporting, and fee payment at the allotted college. The process of MP BTech Admission Counselling 2024 is mentioned below -

1. Online Registration and Application

Aspiring candidates must register themselves for online counselling on the official website of DTE, Madhya Pradesh. After successful registration, a Login ID and password will be provided. The candidates need to log in to the website, fill out the application form for BTech counselling and upload the required documents in the prescribed format. 

1. Online Certificate Verification of the Candidate

The documents uploaded by the candidates would be verified by the authorities online. The eligibility to participate in the Choice-Filling process would be decided by the verification of documents. 

1. Choice Filling

The candidates can choose the maximum number of colleges they wish to join and arrange them in the order of priority. Once the candidates are sure about the choices filled in the form, they can lock their choice to confirm the entry.

1. Final Allotment Of Seats

The seats will be allotted in the counselling process based on JEE Main Ranks followed by Merit in Class XII, filled choices, availability of seats, and category. The final allotments will be placed on the website on the scheduled date. The Candidate can download the allotment order by logging on to the portal.

1. Payment Of Fees At The College

The candidates need to report at the allotted college along with the seat allotment letter. The candidate also needs to pay the course fee which is INR 650 for males of the general category and INR 325 for females/ SC/ ST/ PWD/ Others. If a candidate fails to report by the dates provided, the allotment gets cancelled.

Reservation Policy for MP BTech Admission 2024

As per the reservation criteria laid down by the Directorate of Technical Education, 90% of the total seats are reserved under the State Quota for candidates who are permanent residents or domiciles of Madhya Pradesh. 5% of the seats are allotted to candidates under the All India Quota and the remaining 5% are reserved for NRI or International candidates.
