Satyawati College Expectations vs Reality- CollegeDekho Verdict
Satyawati College provides much-needed exposure to its students. The academic curriculum is also apt for students with the implementation of the Choice-Based Credit System(CBCS) and Learning Outcomes-Based Curriculum Framework (LOCF).
However, there are a few issues that are highlighted by the students that need to be addressed:
- Currently, Satyawati College offers only 1 postgraduate program. The college must include more courses on its radar to increase academic competencies.
- Infrastructure-wise, the facilities provided are good, however, maintenance has been an issue, like the absence of proper ventilation in auditoriums and academic buildings.
- Even though students from outside Delhi are more in numbers, there is no accommodation facility for them. Students have to look for PGs and hostels and there is no guarantee that they will find good accommodation nearby.
- The pass percentage of the students as per the Self Study Report is 88.64, which is satisfactory. However, the placement statistics are not adequate with only 33 students getting placed out of 1,027.
- Satyawati College should consider hiring additional permanent teaching faculty and modernizing academic procedures, as highlighted in both our observations and students' experiences.
