TNEA Seat Acceptance Process 2024

After candidates are allotted seats via TNEA counselling 2024, they have the choice to practice different confirmation options. There are 6 available options for the candidates which have been discussed below:

Accept and Join

Candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotted to them can download the provisional seat allotment order and  report to the allotted college on the specified date for admission. Candidates will lose their allotted seats if they fail to report to the institute on the specified date and they will not be eligible to participate in further subsequent rounds.

Accept and Upward

Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted seats but wish to wait for allotment in the higher order of his/her choice can opt for this option. For instance, if a candidate is allotted a seat for choice 5, she/ he can wait for choices 1,2,3,4. If no better choice is available in an upward movement, then the previously allotted choice 5 gets confirmed for the candidate.

Decline and Upward

Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seats can decline the allotment and wait for allotment in the higher order of her/ his choice in the ensuing upward movement. If such candidates are unable to secure her/ his preferred allotment in an upward movement, then they will be moved to the next round.

Decline and move to the next round

Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seats and do not wish to wait for upward movement can move and participate in the next round.

Decline and Quit

Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seats and do not wish to participate in the subsequent rounds can opt for this option.

Upward or move to the next round

If ‘no seat’ is allotted to the candidates based upon all the choices, then this option will be provided. Such candidates can opt for upward movement. If a seat is available during upward movement, it will be allotted. If no seats are available during upward movement, then such candidate will be moved to the next round.
