GATE 2025 Architecture and Planning Exam Date

The GATE exam date 2025 is scheduled on February 1, 2, 15 & 16, 2025. The conducting body of GATE 2025, IIT Roorkee is yet to release the paper-wise schedule for the examination. List of Two Paper Combinations for GATE 2025 Architecture and Planning

The two-paper combination list for GATE Architecture and Planning (AR) has been updated by IIT Roorkee. Candidates appearing for GATE 2025 AR discipline can choose any of the following two papers as their second paper combination.

Total Number of Candidates Appeared for GATE Architecture and Planning: Past Trends

GATE Architecture and Planning sees approximately 9000 candidates appearing for the exam each year. If we look at the past trends, 9080 applicants took the GATE AR paper in 2024, while 9242 candidates appeared in 2023. Although the average number of GATE AR takers is 9000, the total number of candidates qualifying the exam has gone up and down over the years, probably due to the difficulty level of the paper. 2049 out of 9080 candidates qualified the exam in 2024. GATE 2025 Architecture and Planning Exam Pattern

The GATE 2025 Architecture and Planning paper follows the standard GATE exam pattern 2025 . The exam will be held online (computer-based exam) for 3 hours. The GATE 2025 Architecture and Planning exam will include 65 questions and a maximum of 100 marks for candidates to score. There is a negative marking system, which awards negative marks for each wrong MCQ answered. The questions asked will be in English and the exam will feature three sections including Engineering Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Architecture and Planning.

GATE 2025 Architecture and Planning Marking Scheme

The GATE 2025 Architecture and Planning exam will be conducted for 3 hours including 65 questions. The questions will carry 1 and 2 marks. The exam will not have any partial marking. For all the incorrect MCQ answers there will be a negative mark awarded to the candidate. However, the weightage of the negative marks will be different for different questions.   • For a wrong answer chosen in an MCQ, there will be a negative marking.

  • There is no negative marking for wrong answer(s) to MSQ or NAT questions.
