About NIT Trichy
National Institute of Technology Trichy is situated in the Tiruchirappalli division of Tamilnadu. It was established as a joint venture of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Government of India in 1964. NIT Trichy was formerly known as the Regional Engineering College Tiruchirappalli. With the approval of the Government of India, NIT Trichy was granted deemed university status in 2003. M.Tech and B.Tech are among the popular NIT Trichy courses. Scores of JEE Main are considered for NIT Trichy B.Tech admissions. As per the NIT Trichy admission criteria, for B.Tech, one has to participate in the JoSAA counselling, whereas, for M.Tech, aspirants have to participate in the CCMT counselling.

NIT Trichy admission 2024 for B.Tech courses will commence from June 10, 2024. Applicants must be JEE Main qualified in order to be admitted to BTech programmes. JEE Main Session 2 results have been declared by NTA on April 24, 2024. Those who qualify for JEE Main can apply for JoSAA counselling which will tentatively begin from June 10. Admission at NIT Trichy is offered through the performance of the candidate in the entrance exams as well as the marks acquired in the qualifying degrees. It is mandatory for candidates to fulfil the required eligibility criteria for NIT Trichy admission 2024. Once the eligibility criteria are fulfilled, aspirants have to complete the necessary application process. National-level entrance exams such as CAT, GATE, JEE Mains, etc. are accepted for NIT Trichy admission. Once they clear the entrance exam, they further have to participate in the counselling process as a part of the NIT Trichy admission process. Direct admission to NIT Trichy is not offered. For admission to the NIT Trichy B.Tech course, candidates need to clear the JEE Mains exam and attend the JoSAA counselling.
