As per the year-wise cutoff analysis, the GATE Mechanical cutoff 2025 is expected to be somewhere around 28.6 for the General, 19 for the SC/ST, and 25.7 for the OBC/EWS categories. Since the year 2022, the GATE ME General qualifying cutoff has been consistently between 28 and 29 marks.
The GATE Mechanical Engineering (ME) exam is one of the most attempted papers with around 60,000-70,000 students appearing for the test every year. GATE ME 2025 General Category Expected Qualifying Marks
The General category cutoff marks for GATE Mechanical Engineering have remained the same over the years. From 2022 to 2024, the ME qualifying cutoff has varied from 28.1 to 28.5 marks. However, in 2021, the GATE Mechanical Engineering cutoff score was 33, significantly higher than past three years. In 2025, the cutoff marks are expected to follow the current trend and remain around the same marks as last year. The GATE 2025 Mechanical Engineering exam will be conducted on Sunday, 2nd February 2025, in the forenoon session between 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
