GATE COAP 2024: The GATE COAP seat allotment 2024 for round 10 has been been released on July 9, 2024, at the candidate's login. Candidates can exercise their option of accept & freeze, retain & wait, and reject & wait till July 11, 2024. The COAP counselling for additional rounds is being held. The COAP main round offers have been made. Candidates who have passed the GATE exam in 2024, 2023, and 2022 are eligible to take part in the COAP 2024. Applicants should be informed that COAP is not an application portal for admission to any of the IITs' MTech programs. Candidates should submit separate applications to the respective IITs for MTech admission and PSUs for employment. COAP is just the website where IITs and PSUs submit offers in compliance with their admission requirements. The GATE 2024 COAP is a platform where candidates can view the results and seat allotments made by participating IITs and IISc Bangalore for admission to PG engineering programs.
During counselling, candidates were required to register and choose the programs and institutes to which they wish to apply. Additionally, there are no COAP registration fees. The GATE counselling 2024 is being conducted via the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) and the Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/M.Des (CCMT). Aspirants seeking GATE admission to IITs must register for COAP; however, for NITs and IIITs, CCMT counselling is held.

What is COAP?
COAP stands for Common Offer Acceptance Portal, and it is a website where all of the participating IITs and ISc Bangalore announce their seat allocation results. Candidates with a valid GATE score must register online at the COAP portal along with the institute for admission to M.Tech courses at any of the participating IITs or ISc Bangalore. The CCMT site is used to apply for M.Tech programmes at NITs and GFTIs. Candidates must verify their seat allotment status and accept or reject the seat via the COAP site.
Eligibility Criteria of GATE COAP 2024
In order to be considered for admission, each candidate must meet a number of prerequisites and requirements. Candidates whose applications do not match the eligibility criteria are likely to be rejected. Before applying for GATE COAP 2024, candidates should review the eligibility requirements.
- To apply for COAP, candidates must have a valid GATE score from the years 2024, 2023, or 2022.
- Candidates who have more than one legitimate GATE score must input the highest score upon registration, but data regarding the other scores will be requested as well.
- If you have a GATE score of 2024 on more than one paper, you must give information on all of your results.
- Candidates must meet the requirements set out by the institute to which they are applying.
- Candidates must hold Indian Nationality

Additional rounds 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 are independent, and each is classified as a Decisive Round. In these rounds, applicants will only have two options: 'Accept and Freeze' and 'Reject'.

GATE COAP 2024 Important Instructions
Candidates can check the important guidelines regarding the GATE COAP 2024 below.
- COAP stands for Common Offer Acceptance Portal, and all Participating Institutes / PSUs will upload their offers during a set time range.
- After completing COAP registration 2024 with a valid GATE Number, applicants must provide the extra qualified GATE Registration Number while logging into the site for the first time.
- After completing your registration, the user ID will be delivered to your registered email address and an SMS to your registered cellphone number. Furthermore, passwords will be supplied by email, which may take some time due to a network issue with the service provider. If you do not receive the password right away, please be patient.
- If you have several qualified GATE registration numbers and are unable to enter the qualified GATE registration numbers from previous years in COAP, this might be due to a discrepancy in information (Name and Date of Birth) between GATE years. Please verify your name and date of birth on all GATE admission cards from various years, and then write to us in detail about the problem, including your name, date of birth, and registration number year-wise in the email.
- Please allow a couple of working days to resolve your issues.
- COAP registration is entirely free. The participating institutes have made it essential to include a COAP registration number on their M.Tech application portals.
