Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme for GATE Reasoning and Comprehension

While studying hard for the exam, it is also important to know about the GATE exam pattern and marking scheme. This will help you understand how marks are divided for the paper and how you can solve the questions to score higher marks in the exam.

  • GATE will be an online (computer-based) test that will be conducted for a total of 3 hours duration.

  • The paper will consist of a total of 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks.

  • There will be three sections in the paper: General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and Reasoning & Comprehension.

  • General Aptitude and Reasoning & Comprehension will be compulsory for all XH subjects.

  • The paper will consist of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) and numerical questions.

The marking scheme for the GATE Reasoning & Comprehension paper is given in the table below:
