Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) are higher education institutions in India that specialize in information technology (IT). The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) founded, sponsored, and operated five of them, while the remaining are based on the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The IIITs offers bachelor’s, master's, and doctorate degrees in various field, especially in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering . IIIT Placements Process

The Indan Institutes of Information Technology placements process is done in the following manner.

• The placement office of respective IIITs sends invitations to companies/organizations along with relevant information

• The company/organization fills in a JAF (Job Announcement Form) containing details of the job offer (pay package, location, allowances, and other bonuses). Along with the preferred dates of the campus visit.

• The duly filled JAFs are sent to respective placement cells

• The placement office allots dates to companies for campus placement drives based on their preferences. The organization confirms the dates with the placement office.

• Companies visit the campus on the allotted dates and conduct PPT /tests and/or interviews according to their recruitment process

• On the day of the campus visit, the company/organization must provide the final list of selected students.

• The employer should give the placement cell a signed physical copy of the final selection list

• The Placement Cell's scope is limited to offers made as part of the campus placement procedure

• The employer must send offer letters via the placement bureau rather than directly to the students
