IIT Roorkee, the organizing institute for GATE exam 2025 has released the important guidelines for GATE 2025 Scholarships on its website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Applicants who pass the
GATE 2025
exam with valid scores can receive a merit scholarship in their first year of AICTE approved PG programs i.e, Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture and Master of Pharmacy courses through the GATE Scholarship Scheme 2025. This scholarship provides financial support of Rs. 12,400 per month for up to 24 months or the duration of the course, whichever is shorter. It is important to note that this AICTE GATE scholarship is only available to students enrolled in full-time courses at institutions approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Candidates cannot receive any other financial help, like another scholarship, salary, or stipend while getting this scholarship. Eligibility Criteria For GATE PG Scholarship 2025
The GATE 2025 PG Scholarship has specific eligibility criteria that applicants must meet to qualify:
Candidates must have a valid GATE/GPAT score at the time of admission to qualify for this scholarship. If they qualify for GATE/GPAT after admission, they would not be eligible for the scholarship.
Foreign students, sponsored candidates, and those admitted through management quotas are not eligible for this scholarship.
Applicants must have a personal savings bank account. Joint accounts are not permitted.
Candidates from SC, ST, OBC (NCL), or Physically Handicapped categories must have proper certification. Without this, they will not be eligible for the scholarship.

How to Apply for the GATE Scholarship 2025?
Go to the official AICTE website: pgscholarship.aicte-india.org.
Find and click on the AICTE GATE Scholarship 2025 link to open the application page.
Fill out the application form with your details and upload all required documents. Make sure to submit everything before the deadline, which is expected to be in the last week of August.
After you submit your application, your institute will check and confirm your information. If everything is in order, you'll be awarded the scholarship.
Documents to Upload for GATE Scholarship 2025
To apply for the AICTE GATE Scholarship 2025, make sure you prepare and submit the following documents:
Upload a scanned copy of your GATE score card.
Provide a PDF copy of your bank passbook showing your account details.
Aadhaar Card is needed for identity verification. Students from J&K, Meghalaya, and Assam don’t need to provide this.
If applicable, upload a PDF copy of your caste certificate.
For OBC applicants, the NCL certificate should not be older than one year.

Important Guidelines for AICTE GATE Scholarship 2025
Before applying for the AICTE GATE Scholarship, it is necessary for applicants to understand all the details properly. Here are several important points for applicants to remember:
Candidates must work 8 to 10 hours per week on teaching and research activities assigned by your institute. This can include tasks like assisting with lab classes, research, library work, and more.
The scholarship is paid monthly. It depends on your good academic performance, following institute rules, and completing the required work.
The scholarship lasts for up to 24 months or the length of your course, whichever is shorter, and cannot be extended.
The amount of the scholarship may change based on updates from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
Candidates must promise not to leave the course early. If you do, you’ll need to repay the entire scholarship amount.
No additional grants for things like salary, contingencies, or library use will be provided.
How and when the scholarship is paid will follow AICTE’s policy, which will be updated on their website or in newspapers.
Claims for the scholarship made more than a year after finishing the program would not be accepted.
AICTE may add more conditions as needed, and their decisions are final for all parties involved.
Leave Entitlements:
