The Navratna status grants benefits to increase financial and functional independence and commits to contributing up to Rs. 1000 crores or 15% of their entire assets to a single enterprise without seeking government approval. They will also have the chance to form alliances, launch auxiliary units, and engage in cooperative ventures overseas.
3. Miniratna (Airports Authority of India, Engineering Projects (India) Limited, Antrix Corporation Limited etc.)
The Miniratna PSUs are further divided into two groups: Category I and Category II. The Maharatna PSUs are the companies that generate the maximum revenue, the Navratna PSUs at the median, and the Miniratna PSU for cse at the minimum.
