DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission Merit List 2025

DTE Maharashtra will prepare the merit list for admission and it will contain the names of all the students eligible for the counselling process. The Diploma Admission 2025 Maharashtra is prepared on the basis of different factors such as:-

Merit Number Assignment: The merit number will be assigned to the students who have applied for admission which will consist of the number assigned on the basis of the eligibility of the respective students.

Change of Marks due to Verification: If there have been any modifications in your eligibility, you must report it to the admission authority on or before the counselling process. The following methods are used while calculating the merit marks for students on the basis of their eligibility:

  • The percentage of your qualifying marks will be calculated while rounding off the percentage to the nearest integer.
  • If the total marks for any qualifying subject are other than 100, then the marks will be converted out of 100 and the fraction obtained will be rounded off.
  • If your marks at the HSC level are in grades, then you must submit the grade conversion by the respective board authority at the time of application.
  • If you have appeared for a re-appear exam, then the marks obtained in the latest exam will be considered.

Merit List for Admission: The merit list for admission to various programs will be calculated on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination with all the subjects put together.

Tie-Breaking Rule for Merit List: In case of a tie between two students while preparing the merit list for Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2025, the following factors will be considered:

  • Highest marks of the students at the HSC Level
  • Highest marks of the students at the HSC level for individual subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry).

Maharashtra Polytechnic Counselling Process 2025

After the release of the merit list of Maharashtra Polytechnic admission, the qualifying students will be called for the counselling process. The counselling for Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission is conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in various rounds.   • Stage 1: Through stage 1, you will be allocated seats based on the merit list.
  • Stage 2: Through stage 2, the seats will be allocated among the male and female students. The seats will be allocated to the male students, and then if the seats remain vacant, then the remaining seats will be allocated to the female students.
  • Stage 3: Through stage 3, the seats will be allocated to SBC students. The seats will be allocated if they remain vacant after being allocated to OBC students.
  • Stage 4: Through stage 4, the seats will be allocated to religious groups of the OBC category.

DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic Seat Allotment 2025: Up-Gradation, Freezing/ Acceptance

  • Seat Freezing/ Acceptance: The first preferred seat allocated will automatically be frozen and you will not be allowed to participate in the following rounds of counselling.   • Seat Upgradation: If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat or may not have been allotted a seat, then you will be allowed to participate in the next round of counselling to secure a seat of your preference.
