Odisha B.Tech Admissions 2024: The OJEE counselling started from June 19, 2024 for the candidates who qualified in the OJEE 2024 exam. The mock seat allotment for OJEE 2024 B.Tech admission has been released on July 18. Eligibility Criteria for Odisha B Tech Admissions 2024

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech Admissions Odisha are given below. Some B.Tech colleges in Odisha consider JEE Main scores whereas others accept OJEE scores. The table below has eligibility criteria details for both JEE Mains and OJEE entrance exams.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Mains

Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board in India.

Qualifying Subjects: Candidates must have opted for Physics, Mathematics and any one of the Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology as technical vocational subjects in class 12th.

Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed their qualifying examination (12th standard examination) with a minimum of 45% marks and 40% for reserved category candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for OJEE

Qualifying Exam: The applicant must have successfully completed Class XII or an equivalent exam from a recognized Board/University, with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as the core subjects. Candidates who are currently in the process of taking the exam or awaiting their results are also eligible to apply for admission to the program.

Age Criteria: The lower age limit for this course is 17 years as of December 31, 2024.

  • Interested candidates were required to visit the website and register for the online OJEE application form 2024 .

Odisha B Tech Admission Procedure 2024

The candidates whose names are included in the merit list will be considered eligible to participate in the counselling procedure. During the counselling process, the allocation of seats will be determined by considering factors such as JEE Main or OJEE ranks, selected preferences, seat availability, and category.

  • Odisha B.Tech admissions 2024 will begin once candidates have registered themselves and filled in their choices.

  • Candidates who want to participate in the Odisha B.Tech 2024 admission process are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee.

  • Once the candidates are done with the OJEE choice filling 2024 process, they will be given a choice-locking facility.

  • Following this, the 1st round of allotment will be released. Allotted candidates then have to deposit part admission fee and report at the nodal centres for document verification.

  • Candidates who have not been allotted should wait for further results and subsequent counselling rounds.

  • Allotted candidates have to pay a part of the admission fee. Reserved category candidates have to pay Rs.5,000/ (For SC, ST and PC) whereas general category candidates have to pay Rs.10,000.

  • Once the candidates have paid the fees, they will be called for document verification.

  • The candidate has to submit one copy of the rank card at the nodal centre during the document verification process.

However, candidates who do not participate in the document verification round will not be allowed to participate in OJEE counselling 2024 .

Odisha B Tech Admission 2024 - Web Counselling

The Odisha B.Tech web counselling has various steps involved. All the candidates who take part in Odisha web counselling have to follow all the steps mentioned below:

Odisha B.Tech Web Counselling Process

Step 1: Odisha B.Tech aspirants have to register themselves for web counselling. Candidates will be required to enter their roll number and date of birth. Click on the submit button to proceed further.

Step 2: Once the candidate has clicked on the submit button they will be required to fill in some new fields such as an address, and mobile number for future communication. Candidates are requested to give a valid phone number as the OTP will be sent on the same number. Now the candidate has to enter the password and again re-enter the same password to confirm the same.

Step 3: If any entry is found to be incorrect by the candidate they can edit the same as they cannot edit any information once they move to the next page.After that candidates take a printout of the Registration Slip as they will be required to produce the same at the Nodal Centre during document verification.

Step 4: Candidate has to pay Rs.450/. It is the Odisha B.Tech counselling registration fee. The same can be paid in online mode.

Odisha B Tech Admissions 2024 - Seat Allotment

OJEE seat allotment 2024 across colleges in Odisha for B.Tech admission will be done based on the candidate's rank, choice and category. Aspirants will be informed about the 1st round seat allotment through the SMS service. In the case of the auto-upgradation system, the candidate will be automatically promoted to upper choice in the next round of Odisha seat allotments.

The Odisha B.Tech second round of seat allotment will provide candidates with a chance to upgrade to a higher priority choice or the same. This will depend upon the choice number, candidate rank and availability of the seat. Candidates who were not allotted seats in the Odisha 1st round seat allotment may also secure a seat. All the newly allotted candidates will be required to pay the partial admission fee and visit the Nadal Centre for document verification.

Note* - In case any candidate plans to withdraw from the OJEE 2024 seat allotment round will have to visit the Nodal Centre. In the withdrawal process, they will be refunded their registration fee

The Odisha B.Tech final seat allotment will provide all the candidates who have been previously allotted a seat to get a final allotment. All the finally allotted candidates (except the newly allotted candidates) are then required to report at their respective allotted colleges with the final allotment letter and the fee deposit slip.

Important Instructions for the Odisha B Tech Final Allotment Letter 2024

1. The auto upgradation in Odisha B.Tech admission implies that the candidates will be automatically upgraded to the higher choice.

2. Candidates are advised to mention their category and subcategory carefully and to provide all the supporting documents with respect to their category and subcategory.

3. For the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) candidates will have to submit the income certificate as per the format given in the Odisha counselling brochure.

4. Candidates who have already been allotted seats in the previous seat allotment round do not have to visit the nodal centre for document verification if they are already done with the same process (during the time of upgrade).

hi tutun ,yes this is true lpu also accepts jee but in case you did not secure good marks in that ,you can give the entrance exam of university .for better results I would suggest you that, you should prepare for both the exams simultaneously ,so that you can take the admission on time .and university also offers multiple scholarships to the students .study grant is also the good option if you cleared the jee exam. for the accurate information you can visit the lpu website and call the admission department
