About Mumbai University B.Com Admissions
The University of Mumbai (MU) is a Central government-run University, that offers a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Mumbai University offers these courses through its affiliations with different colleges scattered across the state.
Mumbai University offers admissions to various courses through merit and cut-off. Each year, based on the scores obtained by students in board exams conducted by various competent authorities in India. The aggregate scores, calculated using a certain combination of subjects, help in determining the merit of the applicants.
Each MU-affiliated college will release a set of cut-off lists for each course that it offers, in order to fill the seats. Usually, there are 5 to 6 rounds of cut-off lists that are released by the colleges, till the time all the seats have not been filled up. Unlike merit lists, all candidates are required to ensure that they have scored the same as or more than the cut-off marks published by the college, in order to enrol under their own choice of course and college.
