The facilities offered by SGI are : central library with great collection of knowledgeable books, refreshing cafeteria that provides cordial environment to the students, open-air theatre, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, gymnasium to promote fitness of students, workshop that helps to enhance technical skills of students, lecture hall and seminar hall. 

SGI provides separate hostel facility for boys and girls. Each hostel is well equipped with amenities such as a reading room, an indoor games room, gymnasium, guest-house for parents and a dining hall with a mess. Each room has organized shelves duly prepared to suit the academic needs of the students. Code of Conduct for the students has been prescribed on the Notice Boards of each hostel. The proctor with its board has close vigilance on the activities of the students for all regulatory and welfare matters for the hostels. Separate Wardens have been recruited to support the Proctor in the decision-making process. Also, senior faculty members are appointed to pay regular visits in Silence Hours to monitor the actual study time in the hostels.

The institute has established the ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) Student Chapter, at present three hundred ninety-three students in various semesters are its active members. It was inaugurated on 10^th August 2013 by, Dr. R.P. Tiwari (Chairman, ISTE Rajasthan Section). On the occasion, he briefed the students about the benefits, schemes, and advantages of the membership of ISTE and gave them the tips to become a successful professional and responsible citizen of India. Further, the student members are guided by two faculty advisors, under the flagship of ISTE some technical activities like paper presentation, small workshops on advanced technologies, technical quiz, etc. are regularly conducted in each semester. NSS (National Service Scheme) Unit-I
