CAT 2022: What is its Purpose?
A standard score for admission to all MBA colleges is what the CAT exam is intended to achieve. Cutoffs based on CAT Scores are announced by all participating CAT MBA Colleges, and individuals who meet them are summoned to further rounds. Candidates must fill out the CAT exam application form and appear for the CAT exam if they want to study an MBA at one of India's top business schools. For admission to their MBA programmes, 88 colleges other than the IIMs also use these scores.

On July 31, 2022, the CAT official website published the CAT 2022 Exam Notification. IIM Bangalore has also made announcements on the CAT 2022 notification, the CAT exam application process, registration, important dates, syllabus, and other key information. Who Administers the CAT 2022 Exam?
The CAT exam is administered annually by a range of IIMs on a rotating basis, and the IIMs alone offer about 5100 MBA seats. Nearly 2.30 lakh individuals apply for the CAT exam each year, which serves as a national-level management aptitude exam. The official notification for CAT 2022 was released by the IIM conducting CAT 2022 on July 31, 2022. The IIM that will administer the CAT 2022 exam can be determined from the table below.

New Changes in CAT 2022
A day before the scheduled date, the CAT 2022 notification was made available online. Up until last year, the official notification was released on July 31; however, this year, it was made public on July 30.
The CAT entrance exam fee for applicants who fall under the general/EWS/NC-OBC categories has increased from INR 2,200 to INR 2,300. It has increased from INR 1,100 to INR 1,150 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
There are now 150 CAT test cities instead of 156.
Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) has been added to the list of acceptable professional degrees in the CAT exam 2022 eligibility criteria.
Imphal has been added as a test city for CAT 2022.
Candidates must this year specify in the CAT application form if they have had their COVID-19 vaccination.
CAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
You can no longer apply for CAT 2022 since the registration process for that exam ended on September 21, 2022. However, you may still go through the CAT exam eligibility criteria below if you are planning for the next year's exam:
Students must possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Aspirants of the unreserved category must have at least 50% aggregate and SC/PWD/OBC/ST must have 45% aggregate in the test.
Students who are in their final years and waiting for the results to be released can also apply.
CA/CS/ICWA aspirants can also apply for CAT exam 2022.

CAT 2022 Admit Card
The authorities released the CAT 2022 admit card on October 27, 2022, on the official website. Applicants must carry the admit card copy along with their photograph to the test centers. Candidates must download a colour printout of their CAT admit card. Since one copy must be submitted at the exam site, it is advisable to print two copies of the CAT 2022 admit card. Location of the test center, exam time, reporting time, and other pertinent data are printed on the CAT admit card.
CAT 2022 Syllabus
There is no prescribed syllabus for the CAT 2022 exam but most of the questions asked in the VARC section inlcude a wide range of English Grammar, Critical Reading, and Verbal Rationale discussions. The QA section covers Mathematics topics from 9th to 10th classes, including Geometry, Arithmetic, Quadratic equations, Measurements, and Coordinate Geometry. The DILR section will have questions based on Puzzles, Pie Charts, Tables, and Bar Graphs.

Join study groups online on websites like Facebook, YouTube, Telegram, and others.
Compile important information from the best books and study materials for the CAT.
Allot one topic from VARC, DILR, and QA for each day of the week.
To gauge your level of understanding, practise two to three questions from the topic learned that day.

CAT result 2022 is expected to be released in the second week of January 2023. CAT scorecards will also be released online and students would be able to check their overall and sectional scores mentioned on the results. The CAT 2022 scorecard will be valid until December 31, 2023.
