It is mandatory for the candidates to hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA that must be awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Abled (DA) category must obtain a minimum aggregate of 45% in graduation to become eligible for MBA admission to top IIMs.

If selected, these candidates will only be able to enroll in the program provisionally only if they can provide a certificate on or before June 30, 2024, from the principal or registrar of their college or institute, confirming the fact that they have fulfilled all the requirements necessary to earn a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification as of the issuance date of the certificate.

Admission Process at IIMs
Individual IIMs release their admission requirements and selection procedures before the CAT exam. This helps candidates learn about the minimum required cut-off percentiles, CAT score weightage in IIMs, selection parameters, and the procedure for shortlisting candidates for IIM admission.
The first step is to appear for the CAT examination and obtain the minimum cutoff score specified by the institute.
Candidates must apply for the WAT/GD-PI round by visiting the official websites of the IIMs as soon as the CAT results are made public.
After this, shortlisting of the candidates must be done for the Written Ability Test (WAT) or Group Discussion (GD) rounds. Applicants have between 15 and 45 minutes to write a brief essay on assigned topics. A group of candidates is given a specific topic to discuss during the GD round.
