CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2023:The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the CBSE 12th result 2023 on May 12, 2023. In the academic year 2023-24, there will be more multiple choice questions and weightage for short and long answer type questions will also be reduced in the CBSE 12th Board examinations 2024 on April 6, 2023. Moreover, the CBSE Class 12 exams 2024 will be conducted on 100% syllabus this year.
The board invoked its conventional examination pattern for class 12 by abolishing the two term exam pattern. CBSE revived its regular exam pattern for class 12th for the academic year 2022-23. As per the latest CBSE class 12th examination pattern, CBSE will conduct the board exams at the end of the year, as it used to do earlier. The final exams will be conducted on 70 marks and 30 marks will be allocated for internals/ Practicals. Apart from this, the board also introduced some major changes in the CBSE class 12th examination pattern for 2022-23. Highlights of CBSE Class 12 New Exam Pattern 2023
The CBSE class 12th exam latest pattern for the academic year 2022-23 has been discussed in pointers below -
CBSE Class 12th examination will be divided into two parts: Theory papers and internal assessment
CBSE Class 12th theory papers will be conducted on 70 marks for subjects having practical examination. English and Mathematics will be conducted on 100 marks each.
CBSE Class 12th internal assessment will be done on 30 marks
The time allotted to solve the question papers will be 3 hours.
The question papers will consist of competency based questions. There will be around 40% of such competency based questions in each paper.
20% of the questions will be based upon MCQ and the rest of the exam will be descriptive in nature.
