About CUET 2025
DU will not conduct any separate entrance exam for the B.Ed course, but candidates will have to appear for CUET 2025 to get admission into the B.Ed colleges under Delhi University. CUET or Common University Entrance Test is a national-level entrance exam conducted annually by the NTA (National Testing Agency).

Delhi University (DU) B.Ed Colleges Admission Process 2025
The admission process at Delhi University (DU) B.Ed colleges is conducted through an entrance exam after which the merit list is released. Students seeking admission can check the merit list from the college website. The candidates applying for Delhi University B.Ed admission shall be allowed to apply simultaneously under the UR/ SC/ ST/ OBC category as well as CW, PwD and other categories for which reservations are acceptable. Apply for DU B.Ed Entrance Exam: Delhi University B.Ed admissions are based on the scores obtained by interested candidates in the CUET PG exam conducted by the NTA. Candidates who wish to apply for one of the DU B.Ed colleges need to fill in the application form online and complete all registration formalities. After this, the admit card is released before the exam and students have to appear for the entrance exam from the designated exam centre.
Merit List: Once the exam is conducted, a merit list of candidates who passed the exam is prepared after which they will be called to participate in the B.Ed counselling process. During this round, students will be allotted seats in any of the four DU B.Ed colleges. If a candidate, who is awarded B.Ed admission in one of the DU colleges, is absent during the counselling session, the seat is awarded to the next eligible candidate in the merit list.
Documents Required for DU B.Ed Admission 2025

- High School or Secondary School Certificate for verification of date of birth of the candidate.
- Mark sheets obtained by the student in their Part-I, II & III of Graduation. If the student has completed their post-graduation and is seeking admission based on it, then he/ she has to show the statement of marks at the Master’s Level.
- Provisional certificate or degree of qualifying examination of the student.
- Candidates claiming for reservation have to present relevant certificates/ documents from a competent authority if they belong to reserved categories.
- Character certificate of the candidate from the institution last attended or from any gazetted officer (valid for six months from the date of issue).
- In the case of candidates in service, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer and a letter of sanction of study leave for two years.

Delhi University (DU) B.Ed Colleges Application Process 2025
The candidates willing to take admission to the DU B.Ed 2025 course have to fill out the application form to appear in the CUET PG 2025 exam. To fill up the application form, candidates need to follow the instructions given below:
- Visit the Delhi University website or the CUET website, go to the Post Graduate Admission Portal and register yourself.
- Candidates need to go through the B.Ed prospectus very carefully.
- Check the eligibility criteria given in the prospectus and see if you meet the requirements.
- For filling up the online application, fill out the B.Ed admission form available on the DU PG Admissions Portal/ CUET website.
- Candidates are instructed to follow the step-by-step instructions given on the PG Admissions portal/ CUET website carefully while filling out the online application form.
- B.Ed aspirants are advised to select the subject category and the CUET 2024 paper code carefully while filling up the form.
- Candidates will also have to select the examination centre where they want to appear for CUET PG very carefully.
- After the payment has been made, no changes can be made to the application form.
- Once the candidate has completed the application process and paid the fee, they are requested to take a printout of the form and carry it on the exam day to the examination centre.
Delhi University (DU) B.Ed Colleges Selection Process 2025
Admission to the B.Ed course at colleges under Delhi University will be conducted through the CUET PG 2025 exam. After conducting the CUET exam, the merit list will be released that will be prepared based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025 exam. The CUET exam will be conducted online in CBT mode and the medium of language will be English and Hindi (Bilingual) except for the language paper. Based on the merit list, selected candidates will be called to participate in the counselling process. The seats will be allocated to the eligible candidates after which they have to visit the respective colleges and complete the admission process.

Department of Education (Central Institute of Education - CIE)
The Faculty of Education at Delhi University, popularly known as the Central Institute of Education is the most sought-after DU B.Ed college. It is also recognized as the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE). CIE was established in 1947 by the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and the first Education Minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who took considerable interest in the establishment of this institution and its progress. The college offers a total of 125 seats in the B.Ed course. Both male and female candidates can apply at CIE as it is a co-education institute.
Location: CIE is located in the North Campus area of Delhi University. The nearest metro station to reach CIE is Vishwavidyalaya (Yellow Line).
Lady Irwin College (LIC)
Accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade, Lady Irwin College received ‘Asia’s Best Brand Award’ in the ‘Best Teacher Training Institution’ category in 2016 in Bangkok. This college is one of the two B.Ed colleges that only admit female students. It received the ‘Nina Sibal Award’ in 2014 for Special Education. Irwin College offers 125 seats for the B.Ed course with only Home Science and Science as teaching subjects. LIC has been offering the B.Ed program for students of Home Science since 1952, and B.Ed Special Education (ID), for students from all streams since 2007. However, since 1932, before 2007, Lady Irwin College had a Diploma in teaching of Home Science. The College was established under the patronage of Lady Dorothy Irwin, by men and women concerned with national issues and the education of women. Lady Irwin College is well known for its community outreach programmes, networking, seminars, public events and recreation. It is a fine example of a college that can provide its students with excellent opportunities.
Location: Lady Irwin College is located in central Delhi. The nearest metro station to reach Lady Irwin College is Mandi House (Blue Line).
Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women (SPMC)
Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women (SPMC) is a multidisciplinary college which was established in the year 1969. It is one of the DU B Ed colleges that offers both B.Ed and B.El.Ed courses under the supervision of a highly qualified faculty. This college also conducts annual seminars every year while inviting paper presentations from research scholars, faculty members and students. The college is for females only and the number of seats in the B.Ed course is limited to 50.
Location: SPMC is located in West Punjabi Bagh area in west Delhi. The nearest metro station is Shivaji Park or Punjabi Bagh (Pink Line).
Maharishi Valmiki College of Education (MVCE)
Maharishi Valmiki College of Education (MVCE) was established in 1995. It is accredited by NAAC with an A grade. It is a co-ed college that offers admission to the B.Ed course based on the DU B.Ed entrance exam conducted by CIE. MVCE launched its B.Ed course for students from the Humanities and Social Science categories. This DU B.Ed college strives to impart quality education and bring diversity to the scope of its pre-service teacher education programme. MVCE offers 100 seats in the B.Ed programme.
Location: MVCE is located in Geeta Colony in East Delhi. The nearest metro station is Lakshmi Nagar (Yellow Line).

Delhi University B.Ed Colleges Eligibility Criteria
There are certain eligibility criteria taken into consideration while selecting candidates for the B.Ed course at DU. There are two types of eligibility criteria that each candidate should meet:
Type 1: Eligibility in Entrance Category
- Candidates will be eligible for the B.Ed course if they have at least 50% aggregate marks either in their bachelor’s degree and/ or in the Master’s Degree in Science/ Social Science/ Humanities/ Commerce or any other qualification equivalent thereto.
- The applicants should have at least 55% aggregate marks in their bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology and specialization in Science and Mathematics with an aggregate of 55% marks or any other equal qualification.
Type 2: Eligibility for Choosing the Pedagogy Course and Respective CUET Paper
- The aspirants need to select one subject category and respective CUET Paper which they have studied in the qualifying degree i.e. Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree for at least 200 marks or at least 12 credits (as per UGC guidelines related to CBCS courses) in Core Course and Elective Courses and should have got at least 50% marks in this subject. The candidates who will only be selected should have fulfilled Program Specific Eligibility and have appeared in the respective CUET paper.
- The subject category selected by the applicant will be assumed final for preparing the merit list and allocation of colleges.
- The subject that a candidate has selected will be considered as the teaching subject and will remain the same throughout the B.Ed course. Candidates cannot further request for change in the subject category under any circumstances.
