IIT JAM 2024 Exam Day Instructions

The following are the most important instructions for IIT JAM 2024 exam centres:

• All candidates must take the admit card and other required documents to the IIT JAM exam centre. If a candidate does not have the required documents, they will not be permitted to take the exam.

• Candidates must get to their IIT JAM exam centre at least an hour before the exam time.

• No one will be permitted to enter the examination hall after the time limit has been exceeded.

• No exam-related equipment of any kind, such as a calculator or electronic watch, is permitted inside the exam room.

How to Change IIT JAM Exam Centre? 

Students can select up to three exam locations when filling out the IIT JAM 2024 application form. The JAM 2024 Organising Committee allocates the IIT JAM exam centres according to candidates' choices and can also add new or remove one as the centres are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Only in the case of exceptional circumstances, students can change their JAM 2024 exam centres. Registered students must submit a legitimate justification for changing the exam centre via the JOAPS portal online when the correction window opens for them. The IIT JAM organising body does not guarantee that the exam location will be changed or that the processing fee will be refunded. • Students can follow these steps to change the location of their IIT JAM exam in exceptional circumstances:

• Visit the IIT JAM website to access the IIT JAM application account.

• Choose the "Change Exam Centre" option.

• Select "Exceptional Circumstances" as the option.

• Give a good reason for the request to change the location of the exam. Students’ claim they must be supported by written evidence, such as a medical certificate or a police report.

• Pay a processing fee of Rs. 500.

• Choose the "Submit" button.
