After candidates have filled out the MAH MBA CAP option form with their preferred MBA colleges and specializations in order of priority, they will be considered for the allotment of CAP rounds. A provisional merit list will be published by the State Common Entrance Test Cell based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the MAH MBA CET exam. After this, seats will be allocated to eligible candidates based on the merit list and the preferences provided in the CAP option form. The seat allotment process will also be directly influenced by the order in which candidates list their preferred institutes and courses in the option form. If a candidate obtains a higher score and rank, the chances of getting a preferred seat is increased.
Notably, a certain percentage of seats will be reserved for candidates from Maharashtra under the state quota. Candidates from other states become eligible for admission under the All India Quota and seat allotment under this quota is based on their all-India ranks. Candidates belonging to minority communities such as Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and other minority communities, and having a valid minority certificate become eligible for Minority Quota seats.
After the completion of the seat allotment process, it is mandatory for the candidates to be physically present at the respective institute which they have been allotted within the specified time in order to confirm their admission. For final allotment, candidates must undergo a verification of documents and fulfillment of eligibility criteria (academic qualifications, entrance exam scores, etc.). Finally, they are required to pay an admission fee to finalize the admission process and secure a seat.
