Minimum Eligibility Requirements for CAT 2019
CAT 2019 will be conducted on November 24, 2019. CAT online application forms will be available from August 7, 2019, onwards. As students gear up for CAT, it is important for them to know all about the CAT 2019 eligibility criteria.
We all know that CAT is a national level management exam conducted at the post-graduate level. And if you have completed your Bachelors’ or are in your final year of UG college you can appear for CAT 2019. CAT 2019 will be conducted on November 24, 2019.
So, if you are thinking of giving the Common Admission Test 2019 then, make sure that you are informed about the eligibility requirements as well as other queries related to CAT 2019.

Is there a standard eligibility criterion to write CAT 2019 irrespective of the student’s qualification being UG, PG or still pursuing UG?
You must fulfil one of the following criteria to apply for CAT 2019:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree with a minimum score of 50% or more in your Bachelor’s degree
- Completed professional degree (For example, CA) with the required percentage.
- Should be pursuing the final year of Bachelor’s degree. However, the student has to submit proof of passing out Bachelor’s within the time frame mentioned by the college & with the minimum required marks. In the event of failing to do so, the college can cancel the admission of the student.
If a student has completed a Master’s degree with 81%, will he be eligible to apply for CAT 2019?
Even if a student has completed a Master’s degree with 81%, he will be eligible to apply for CAT 2019 if they have obtained 50% or more in the Bachelor’s degree.

Are candidates who have done 5 years integrated course of B.Tech and MBA eligible?
Yes. Those who have done 5 years integrated course of B.Tech and MBA should have secured a minimum score of 50% or more in your Bachelor’s degree. He/she will enter the aggregate percentage of Bachelor’s Degree and separately for the Master’s degree.

Is any relaxation given to any candidate?
SC/ST/PWD candidates are allowed a relaxation in marks and should have minimum 45% to be eligible to apply. For General and NC-OBC candidates, the minimum percentage is 50%.
