Candidates must pass any national admission examinations, such as the CAT, XAT, GMAT, SNAP, NMAT, or CMAT, and meet the MBA cutoff marks required to be eligible for the MBA selection process conducted by the institutes or the Centralized Admission Process for admission whichever is applicable.
Shortlisting for MBA Selection Process Rounds
The next stage in the MBA admission process is the shortlisting of candidates for the next stage. Academic profile, extracurricular activities, and entrance exam scores are among the primary criteria that are considered when shortlisting candidates for the next round of the MBA selection process. Classes 10, 12, and graduation scores are included in the Academic Profile. The only extracurricular achievements taken into account are those at the District, State, National, and International levels. When creating a shortlist based on student profiles, relevant work experience is also taken into account.
Appearing for MBA Selection Process Rounds
Once all the eligible and qualified candidates are shortlisted for the next round of the MBA selection process, the shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the MBA selection process rounds, which are either conducted individually by the MBA colleges or by a centralized admission process. The MBA selection process rounds typically include Group Discussions, Personal Interviews, and Written Ability Tests. Some institutes may include all these three stages, and some institutes may only conduct one of these stages depending on their own admission criteria.
Final MBA Selection
After all the MBA selection process rounds are concluded, the relevant authorities begin their final MBA selection process, taking into consideration all the parameters that have been mentioned above, including candidate profile, academic profile, professional experience, entrance exam scores, performance in selection process rounds, etc. After due consideration, only the best candidates are selected and offered admission to the management course in concern.
